Leave it to the resourceful David Lee to immediately find the best tutor possible to get an early start on the Mike D'Antoni system.nice some Knick fans accept mediocrity as excellence .... I don't!

Posted by blueNorange: that is good news... gotta love D Lee taking an initiative to get a head start on learning D'Antoni's system... wish more Knick players would do the same. After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Once Lee recieves his big payday from NY, then and only then will I judge his attitude for the game.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Posted by playa2: See you in 2 years. How did you come up with this flawed logic? So all 1st round pick have to wait 5 yrs to be judged while second round picks only 2? |

Posted by jaydh:Posted by playa2: I don't even get the point. Playa, do you think Lee is working with Nash just because he somehow sees it as a way of getting a bigger payday from NY? That seems far-fetched! |

The Answer Man Cuts In
Q. bonn - do you think Lee is working with Nash just because he somehow sees it as a way of getting a bigger payday from NY? A. Lee is working out with Nash because Frank Isola has him convinced he is about to be traded once a knick always a knick

Posted by misterearl: which also doesnt make sense....yea he's going to get help from a guy that knows D'Antoni's system because he is about to be traded away from D'Antoni's system...yea, that makes sense. |

Lee is old school - he plays the game because he loves it, and every day he wants to get better.
His first year, he shot horrible FT% - not the second year. Late this past season, we say him start to show a 12 ft jumper. Guys- David Lee is our best basketball player. Not our best athlete, though he might be- but our best all around team player- and basketball is a team sport. |

franco - I would beg to differ on the selflessness of Lee compared to The Mayor.
Chandler has a rare blend of intuitive and intelligent gifts which he employs in the context of team play. His assist totals are better than Lee's, he has excellent court awareness and he has a better handle. Don't be distracted by the above-average hops once a knick always a knick

Posted by jaydh:Posted by playa2: Playing in NYC after getting a big payday from the meager rookie Contract changes your perspective sometimes. So that's what I meant. You guys act like you have never heard of NBA players going all out working on their game before the big contract and then settling down and being complacent once they get it and have that job security with many zeros behind a number.
