No player will benefit more from the hire of Mike D'Antoni than David Lee, the energetic forward with great hops, motor and an innate ability to finish and clean the glass.

The Knicks have always been a better team with Lee on the floor and now with D'Antoni on board we are sure to see Lee blossom into a force, a leader who will give an identity to the future Knicks.

I am also excited to see Balkman, Crawford, Nate and Chandler translate their games into the frenzied pace of the D'Antoni system.

You can probably say goodbye to Randolph/Curry, James and Marbury and get ready for some really entertaining basketball in NY.

I hope you are right. We still need a lead guard to make everything go in the setup that D'Antoni is known for.

Don't underestimate the development of little Nate... He played like a completely different player once Marbury got injured.
He actually started playing some "heady" selfless team ball down the stretch... he was a completely different player than the "highlight reel" Nate of years past.

Outside of Lee; I think Nate will be a tremendous beneficiary of the D'Antoni system because he has now learned how to orchestrate with the pass, that kid plays at a frenetic pace, he never tires, he has a good mid-range jumper, he is not afraid to get in the lane with big bodies for rebounds or tip-ins and he has developed into the team's most respectable 3 point threat.

He needs to gain more confidence in his J' and he needs to work on his D' if he wants to develop into a true NBA starter. If he doesn't, he's an NBA backup.

I'm always skeptical of how much a coach or workout partner (like Aguire's role) can change a player.

I think it all depends on the commitment and trust the player has in the coaching and practice. If he sees it helps his game he will work on it, if he works on it he will flourish!!! Simple as that and the funny thing is, its not ending at a certain age (I got to admit though, that the learning curve falls down after a certain age).

Everytime Lee runs the floor he never touches the ball. He will get easy buckets next year on transition. If Lee doesnt average 16 and 10 next year I will be disappointed

You are about to see David Lee's passing skills at its best. Few thing lacking in DLee's game is defense and a jumper if he can improve on that he become a complete package.

David Lee is never becoming an "NBA force" so you should probably start lowering your expectations.

I can see Chandler developing in the D'Atoni's system, bu not sure how much floor time Balk will see. I remember when the Suns had James Jones and D'Antoni benched him for long stretches because D'Antoni said "He couldnt make a shot." D'Antoni wants shot-makers and Balk, for all the hustle plays he makes, doesn't shoot the ball well enough.

The faster you realize that David Lee is a good role player and nothing more the easier it will be. Just because we have a good young player doesn't mean he will be great. He doesn't and never had that potential.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

David Lee is progressing to become an elite rebounder in this league who plays with refreshing athleticism and is a great finisher.
He has a knack for being around the ball, not by out muscling like an Oakly, but with a natural ability of just being the proximity of the ball... this is a very rare intangible in this league.
Lee's efficient selfless blue-collar brand of basketball is the identity this team is so sorely lacking. He has, unlike other players in his draft improved his game each year, and is very coachable, He will be the future captain of the New York Knicks in the years to come.

So if you are frustrated with life, and want to take it out on poor David Lee then you are blessed with an affable target in New York for the foreseeable future...

I think your totally right on this. I can see Craw, Balk, Nate, Chadler, Lee, Collins showing what they got under D'Antoni. It makes total sense to start these guys, seeing that the other old bums will be gone soon. Under jax, he would've only continued on with what isiah did. Mass confusion and depression.

I still see Nate coming off the bench, and here's something I never thought I'd say: I'm starting to warm up to the little guy. Whatever scenario happens, I think the young guys will finally get their shots and make the most of it.

I have some respect for Aguire. He seems to understand the circus that was taking place, making it known from his comments.

In other words, he seems to 'get it'.

Dude, you should be happy we have change now. And positive change at that. Most people on this board are speaking positive right now. That's what we wanted.

But if we get LeBron, then by then, he'll have a nice supporting cast already in place. Donnie is working on making this franchise attractive to NBA stars right now. It's a great move!

You don't represent most people. I'm pretty sure the public perception is split with not sure/happy/pissed. Either way, hat has nothing to do with David Lee. Again, David Lee is what he is. Maybe he gets a little better than what he is now but anyone expecting him to be Amare Stoudamire or something is smoking some serious stuff. Just because there is a "positive change" doesn't mean you are supposed to live in an alternate universe. The reality didn't change. Maybe for you but not for me.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
