Knicks could seriously use both players.....either or.

If the fix isn't in and Derrick Rose isn't a Knick, how do we pry one of these guys from DJ's favorite team?

Trade Curry for Ford and watch DJ's head explode.

Ok I'll start it.....

Curry/ Balkman for Tj Ford and Garbajosa.

Knicks get a real point guard and the whole Knicks community passes a kidney stone the size of the empire state building. Garbajosa is on the Toronto **** list and he wants out. He's not a mega athelete but he is still a nice player, tough and cold blooded when healthy.

Toronto gets Curry who clogs the lane but its not like that team drives. Bosh is a small fwd that faces up more than anything. He likes to launch 25 footers and run around. Ok well Curry isn't in his way. If anything Curry is gonna attract the big bastard they assigned to abuse Bosh. I think it works. Curry doesn't have to be force fed. They run an open offense so Curry can get his points on the move. He can set picks and create even more space for his teamates to knock down shots. Balkman is the wild man they need to keep the team defensive mined when he's out there.

I say the trade makes tons of sense......get er dun!

Jose Calderon in the toronto system plays like he should start in the league.

Where ever TJ ford has been he has been a starter.

The raptors will more than likely keep Calderon on the euro friendly toronto team and send the often injured Ford somewhere else.

I love how Jose plays the game for the raps, but i'm not sold he would be better playing for other teams in the association.

I believe the Toronto system fits him nicely.

Ford is a drive and dump guy. We already have two of those. Garbajosa won't be much help in any way.

Ford would be great but he has a degennerative back ailment and almost had his career end last year because of it. His career could end any day. I am sure that he would be available for the right offer. Curry for TJ might get it done but I don't know if you go big for small. Gargajosa also was injured this year and there was some mystery as to the severity of it. He did not play for most of the year.

Drive and dump......sigh......damn man who on this planet is good enough for the Knicks?

Calderon is a drive and dish player too. He drives and dishes all day to find the shooters they have.

Anyway, the point that makes tj better than Nate is that he has his head up and knows when to score and take over and when to drive and dish. He also makes passes to find guys open before anyone else. Nate is getting there but TJ is already there. Nate would still be around in case TJ gets hurt again. Practice would be a dog fight.

Anyway.....I already explained how this scenerio works....I believe this is the trade that takes the Knicks into their new era with possibly D'antoni.....and Toronto gets another option/speed to go without losing anything. Jose is a top notch point guard.

Garbajosa is better than Jared I tell you that. He will knock down shots and he plays with his balls out. Knicks need his versitility. even if Wilson Chandler comes in next season and swallows the small fwd spot, Garbajosa off the bench is a flat out weapon.

This is a perfect trade for both teams imho.

from toronto's side, i don't think they're looking for a guy like curry. they're looking for a big that can defend and rebound (a bruiser of sorts)

if zach + eddy can't work, why would bosh + eddy?

i think it starts with a minimum of david lee (and that's not nearly enough) but i just don't see a good match between both teams.

it would have to be a 3way deal - like eddy to sac, artest to toronto, tj to ny.

eny, why do you want to see my head explode?

btw, garbajosa may be done - the guy had a major leg injury and came back too soon last summer to play for spain.

It looks like Garbajosa could play in Bejing....he wont though due to the Toronto Raptors putting an end to that. So if he could play in bejing that means he could possibly be ready to play next season.

Toronto really needs a inside presence......there arent any defensive bruisers out there that could pair with Bosh. They lack inside scoring along with just interior play. The way i see it, I see Curry setting Bosh free. Curry will get the attention since he is a high percentage shooter inside. Bosh could do his dancing and prancing. Aside from that... who else could Toronto get to play center? Pryzbilla? Other than him i can't think of a center thats available other than curry. TJ is on the table and the salaries match.....They could get curry and a guy like pryzbilla. That to me makes sense for them.

This is why Colangelo is overseas now watching the euro final four playoffs looking for a bruiser who doesn't mind playing in Canada.

Colangelo knows it;s gonna be very difficult to persuade and american veteran(PF) to come move his family up north of the border.

I would do a Balkman and Curry for Ford and whoever trade. TJ is a better pg than Nate or Marbury. He actually knows how to set players up, he has improved his scoring ability over the past 3 years, and he can definitely run a break. If he did not have the injury problems, this guy would be talked about as one of the top-5 pgs in the league. I do that trade and if TJ gets hurt, we at least got rid of Curry, which is a plus in itself.

Of course, this all assumes that we don't get Rose or Bayless in the draft.
Trust the Process

Ford does best what Marbury and Nate do best - drive to the hoop and dump it off when you get picked off. What I hope we're looking for at pg is more of a Stockton, Cheeks, Jackson type who can find the open man and feed the low post - a point guard who gets others involved at the beginning of the possession.

TJ Ford will be the most acquirable PG who can fit D'Antoni's uptempo style. He is one of the fastest players in the NBA, can dictate the pace an is unselfish. He could really thrive. He's just such a health risk though.

Early reports suggest a Ford for Crawford swap. If I'm Toronto I'll say pass on this kind of offer.
