Let's talk about a winning team, also known as the giants. Who do you think should be our first pick and why?

well, they really blew it with the zito signing. and they no longer have bonds. so they have needs almost everywhere on their roster. probably best to use it on an outfielder but that's a few months away, no?

I'd rather have a stud LB than the safety from the U, but I trust just about anyone the Giants draft after last year.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Tyrell Johnson, S, Arkansas St.- fast, productive, physical. Dominant in the Sun Belt and came to play against bigger competiion, i.e. Texas. And the best ballhawk of the top 3 safeties in the draft. I like Kenny Phillips too, but something tells me its gonna be Johnson.

And we'll see if Shockey is still a Giant tommorow.

I would take a 2nd rounder for Shockey at this point
The Giants could fix their Safety, OLB, and Guard positions by the end of the second round.

I would not mind getting another receiver. I do think a LB, or a safety are also necessary especially since we have lost a big player in the defense department.

I would like the Giants to concentrate on the defense. LB or Safety will do. But what I would like to see is shockey traded for some more picks. Last year Giants did well with the rookies I have total faith in the Giant organization.

The "must" haves from this draft are LB, Safety and Punt return man IMO. The could also use another OL, another DT, and another CB prospect. Tight End may turn into a glaring need as well.

They have 8 picks though- they'll have some chances to make it happen. Giants fans must watch the 6th round- 3 picks there and that's where Reese makes it happen!

Giants will go Safety to replace Wilson. Either Tyrell Johnson or Kenny Phillips, whichever one drops to them.

I'm hoping shockey goes today. I think we missed his blocking when he went out, which hurt our run game, but I think our offense was better off without him for various personality reasons. I'd like to see us take a safety or linebacker.

I'm not opposed to switching first round picks with the saints for shockey, I think we need to get something good with that 10 pick though.

I mean, I'm okay with drafting a safety. I know it's a need and all, but there hasn't been a CB taken yet. I wouldn't be surprised if the giants grab one if they continue to fall. ANd I'd be more than okay with that, because you can get decent safeties even on day 2 in the NFL draft

The way the board is dropping, their might be a top notch WR like Limas Sweed available for the Giants. But keep yourselves prepared for Tyrell Johnson.

Definitely a safety now... everyone with any obvious talent already got taken

I could care less which one the Giants take. Johnson looks like more of the ballhawk and Phillips looks like the heavy hitter. Considering the Giants passrush is already elite, I like Phillips. However with Spags, giving him another massive blitz weapon is appealing.

You might be right... no one's been grabbed yet!

Stick with what won you the SuperBowl. Go with Defense.
