6: the new york knicks draft eric gordon.
the new york knicks then trade the draft rights of eric gordon along with guard stephon marbury and forward quentin richardson to the milwaukee bucks for guard micheal redd, forward bobby simmons and center dan gadzuric.

IMO if Jordan declares Memphis drafts him; if they pick ahead of NY one of Bayless or Mayo will fall.

of those two - Mayo.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

given that the clippers beat the knickerbockers twice, does that give us an advantage over them in the lottery system? it should work in reverse of playoff order, right? in that case, we'd be slotted 5th.

if we're going to assume the worst you have to imagine a team leapfrogging the knicks to win the lotto, pushing us back into sweetney territory at 7, 8, or 9. that would be miserable.

Trade E. Curry, Nate, and 3 mill to the Bobcats for their draft pick and S. May.

With our pick get RUSSELL WESTBROOK. Dude can play the point. Has great size and is a lockdown defender. He is Rajon Rondo with an offensive game.

With the Bobcats pick get ANTHONY RANDOLPH. Can run the floor and has a decent jumpshot. I would like to see the team run more and adding him and Westbrook would give us some guys who can run. Although he is skinny like Frye, he has shown the ability to rebound and block shots.

These two picks will allow us to use Lee as trade bait. Package Lee with Jeffries or Q and we clear a boatload of cap space.

Bigsmooth--that only counts for the playoffs. This is a true 50-50 coin flip. That is IF we dont win another game. So Im trying to keep it real--giving you a real scenario--and you have to fill in the guy you want.

# 6. McGee

Beasley, Rose and Mayo are the top three in this draft. With them off the board, I say go big, and McGee is perhaps the best big prospect in the draft.

Wetsbrook is intriguing but I have my doubts that he can adequately run the point and make pg-like decisions.

Not a bad plan, but last year, I believe the Bobcats wanted Lee for their pick. Any deal with the Bobcats might have to include Lee. But Lee may no longer be a possibility since they drafted Dudley and traded for Mohammed.

i think its too early to tell, nobody has worked out or anything. if i had to go with right now, i'd say eric gordon. haven't seen anything of randolph yet, or mcgee for that matter.

I'd just like to add i don't think the Knicks are in a position yet to draft a project. Does anyone have faith that the organization will get guys like McGee or Randolph what they need to develop in the league? I don't. At least not yet.

Fortunately, there seem to be a decent amount of perimeter players that could be effective pretty quickly.

I agree. Although I actually would take a chance on Thabeet because even though he is somewhat of a project he isn't THAT far away like deandre and mcgee are. My draft order in order of preference depending on who's available is
Jerryd Bayless-Danilo Gallinari-Russel Westbrook-Hasheem Thabeet-Chris Douglass Roberts-DJ Augustin.
