Frank did work and so did SWEETS 23 AND 20 POINTS RESPECTIVELY.
Those are the two guys I expect to be starting this yr. Keep ya fingers crossed. First game jitters for LAMPE AND VRANES.Bucks have played a few games so they are a little bit more cohesive as a unit than the knicks. By next week in Utah we will know who will be ready and who will be going back to Europe. Give Layden credit for waiting to see if Lampe is ready this yr(summer league) instead of giving him money now to ride the pine. He could go back to Europe and get playing time and develop more along with Vranes.18 YRS Makes it hard to come to a foreign country and perform at a high level.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I do expect something out of Lampe in the summer league - the guy has played professionally in Europe already (at some level). That's not too much to expect.

Martin, let me try to reason with you for a moment...

1) playing professionally in Europe is not playing NBA ball
2) the kid is 18 years old and needs more than one towel to dry all the wetness from his ears
3) he probably still has jet lag

Anyone looking for immediate results from this kid is setting themselves up for unnecessary disappointment and is flat out wrong, in my opinion.

Wow - way to go Sweets and Williams, they are showing some promise. Sweetney had 5! offensive boards, the kid hussles. Williams shot some 3-bombs.

Lampe and Vranes...hmmm disappointing I will have to admit. Like MAtrin I expect something out of Lampe because he has experience. Maybe he is just nervous. I think he will adjust. He also had 5 fouls so that will have to be worked on. Vranes - 7'6 and didnt even grab a single board or block a shot? Uh oh looks like you are going back to Europe my friend! Maybe he will improve? He doesnt play much over there so he needs minutes. Way to go with Chaney sticking it out with Lampe giving him 28 minutes even though he had a bad game.

The Knicks need to work on their shooting because they were at 32% - I think they will improve but as of now it looks like Williams and Sweetney will make the squad while the Euros go home for a year. Hopefully Lampe wakes up, I am rooting for the kid.

I'm not expecting anything from Lampe for at least a year if not two. I think all those hanging on his Summer League box scores are out of your minds.... but that's just me.

As k yourselves how many 18 year olds from Europe have made an impact in the NBA? Ask yourselves how many 18 year old have made big contributions from anywhere?

C'mon fellas

I am with you Playa, I want to see Williams start, I want to see him develop and prosper in NY. Sweetney would be an awesome addition as a starter. This team need young blood. No more hot dog neck, no more OAFella, we need a hard worker down low. Maybe Dice will make it back, but I like the idea of Sweetney more by the day.

I'll give you that playing professionally in Europe is not playing NBA ball, but this is not NBA ball, this is NBA SUMMER LEAGUE ball. Lampe should show something.

Jet lag? The dude was at the NBA draft, remember? 2 WEEKS ago?

Jet lag was a joke Martin, I'll give you that.

Answer my questions about 18 year olds making it in the NBA... or NBA summer league if you like.

Martin...the one thing I will give Lampe is that he hasnt practiced with the team much since he was recently cleared. Other then that he has no excuses for that shooting performance so lets see what happens in game 2 - I want to see this kid perform.

Seems like Williams and Sweetney did their thing. Lampe will come along shortly. Hopefully Vranes will get some burn in the summer league too...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Pike they don't get it. I saw Dirk's line his first scrimmage game in the NBA when he was a 20 year old rookie and he was 1-9 from the field... No need to detail how his career turned out...
