Now that Donnie Walsh is the President of B-Ball Operations of the Knicks, and we saw his press conference what do you think his decision will be regarding Isiah's future with the Knicks?
Isiah completely fired, has no role with Knicks
Isiah fired as coach, but stays on in some other form as a scout, consultant, or assistant GM, etc.
Isiah remains coach
Isiah goes postal killing all remaining who've undermined his success: Dolan, Walsh, Steph, Curry, Z-Bo, James, Jeffries, etc.

I think he'll keep him in some role which will just be facade, he'll coach the rest of the year and then we'll never hear from him again.

He'll stay on as a consultant and help with the draft.

Walsh didn't give me any indication that he will step in between dolan's love for Isiah the coach.

Zeke stays until his contract runs out.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Interesting results, thus far. So a pretty good portion of folks here think Isiah will stay on in some form.

he and walsh have the same amount left on their deals

so it can be like a horror film of sorts-

Isiah gets moved to scouting east european b ball games

walsh builds a winning foundation,

and isiah returns when walsh retires!

Isiah should be put in charge of the second round draft picks. He's done well there with Ariza and the others he prematurely picked in round 1 (Collins, Balkman, Chandler)

IT's gone. Walsh is too smart to risk damaging his credibility by keeping IT. IT the GM was far worse than IT the coach, but IT the coach did not do much either. I think IT is a decent coach and I think he doomed himself with the sorry players he assembled, starting with Marbury. Things have just gone too far for IT to remain.

What press conference did u watch? And did u hear walsh on mike and the mad dog? He said after going thru his ay of interviews he realises how badly everyone wants isiah thrown out and he has 2 consider that even tho he hates to.

Walsh is justbeing respectful. He is no idiot clearly, he's doing theright thing letting isiah finish the season (its called class... I know we are not used to it here... but its kinda refreshing)

There is no way he stays as coach ill put my life savings on it.

It is possible however imo that he stays as a gm or some sort of scout imo

There is no way Isiah can stay on as coach and face the media everyday while he team is getting picked apart by Walsh. This will just create more back-page fodder/more contraversy/ more negative fan interactions, etc.

Isiah will either be fired out-right or will retain some sort of behind the scenes job where he is out of sight and out of mind.

Considering that we have our lottery pick next year, on the face of the subject, I don't care that much if we keep him. If we lose next year, great, we get another top pick. However, the other concern is similar to the concern about keeping a guy like marbury around. Is this the type of person we want to be around our top draft pick, not to mention having him influence lee and nate for another year? I don't think so, and I think the atmosphere is so bad, that Isiah will not be kept around as the head coach. However, I suppose, he could be doing something else, like scouting, particularly if his relationship with dolan is still good. It's not like isiah is going to be rushing to his next job.

From what i heard in his interviw with whats his face(that knicks guy, forgot his name, the one who did a 1 on 1 interview after the PR) when the guy asked him about what he is gonna talk to Isiah about he said something like "well i'll ask him about his plan and what went wrong and we'll go from there"
So here is my version of his conversation with Isiah:
-DW So, how've you been , must be hard for you with how bad thing got and everything?
-IT Yeah, its hard but we are doing good, gonna win a championship pretty soon.
-DW Okay, but what happened with the team, weren't you guys supposed to make a run in the playoffs this year?
-IT Oh yeah, but things just didn't click, Marbury bugged out and then after i ignored the team poll and gave him huge minutes after the Phoenix incident i just kinda lost the team, you know. But its cool cause you see, we are gonna get a real good player in the draft, i am thinking Gordon or OJ Mayo.
-DW Hmm, what about the Anucha Brown, how did you allow that to happen man?
-IT She was out to get me for no good reason, i am freakin innocent, you should know better, we are still buddies aren't we? Bros b4 hoes you know what i mean?
-DW Yeah , alright. So whats your plan now?
-IT I got it all worked out- we are gonna try to get under the cap in 2010, and gonna make sure to preserve that chance by not signing anyone else for really long really bad deals like i have been my whole time here. Then good things will happen, i just know it.
-DW Ok thanks for the talk i'll see you around.

Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear- George Adair
