Just heard Isola say as much on NBATV.....Said Walsh will be introduced as President tomorrow at a 1:00PM press conference. Stay Tuned.

He's staying bro.They didn't say anything but if Walsh is setting up a press conference and Isiah hasn't been fired yet, it means he is staying in some capacity.

Relax, man. This doesn't mean that Isiah is definitely staying. Lets see how it plays out. I cant imagine someone of Walsh's integrity would keep Isiah on as coach. Too much bad blood between Isiah and the fans/media. If he stays, it'll be behind the scenes where he would be out of sight and mind.

Either way its a step in the right direction. Isiah has been stripped of his power.

The Knicks will turn their basketball operations over to Donnie Walsh on Wednesday, according to an Associated Press report.

A person with knowledge of the decision indicates that the Knicks will announce the hiring of Walsh as their new president at a news conference. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the move has not been made official yet. Walsh will replace Isiah Thomas as president. Thomas is also the Knicks’ coach.

This is a great move. Walsh must have got all the assurances he wanted, which most likely means that Isiah is a goner!

A highly placed person in the coaching business suggested Tuesday that the Knicks' interest in Walsh was actually inspired by Thomas, who felt secure enough in his relationship with Walsh to suggest him to James Dolan as an addition to the power structure.

"That's the one place that Isiah feels he has some rapport, where he just won't be dismissed or discounted," the person said. "When you help a guy get the job, usually that guy is beholden to you."

I really have a hard time believing Walsh would keep Isiah as head coach.

Until I see what happens at the press conference tomorrow, I'm going to assume that Walsh isn't an idiot.
