Put of all those, I would not choose Grunfeld. Colangelo, then West, then Walsh.

Dolan is a gigantic moron if he doesn't at least contact the first 2 guys and see if they want the job.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

No Isiah option?

The question wasn't who will be here next year? It was who do you want to be here.
I just hope that people will like me

But there needs to be an option for Earl and Nixluva to select

I want Colangelo, but I think Walsh is a fine choice. I don't get some of the negativity towards Walsh on this forum. He did a great job putting together those Pacer teams in the 90s and for the last 5 years, Bird has been putting that team together with Walsh having little to no input, but this was his choice. He wanted to let Larry run the ship, now they were struggling and Donnie was getting the urge to work his magic again.

Walsh has always been known as a very good drafter and I believe with the resources he will have with the Knicks, he will do a fine job here. This guy has a long history and is known as one of the top execs in the league. Sure Colangelo would absolutely be a better choice, but Walsh isn't a large dropoff.

i don't have a major problem w/Walsh either... he's well respected throughout the league... it would be a refreshing change to have someone who's not looked upon as a joke running our franchise.

but Colangelo should be the guy if u ask me.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Walsh has traditionally been great at recognizing when to trade his vets- Dale Davis for J O'Neal. Mark Jackson for Jalen Rose. Jalen Rose and change for Brad Miller and Ron Artest. He made deal after deal to quickly rebuild Indy. The one mishap was Antonio Davis for Jonathan Bender (who got derailed by injury). Too bad they had Isiah as a coach.

And back when they were competing with the Knicks, he always seemed to make a savvy in season deal- whether for a Mark Jackson or a Derrick McKey....he seemed to grab guys that fit.

Also he has pretty good track record at picking players past pick 20. Travis Best, Al Harrington, James Jones, Primoz Brezec etc.

I voted for Cap'n Zeke. Cap'n Zeke is the best man to repair the Minnow and lead the castaways back to civilization. (With the help of his little buddy Marbigan, of course.)

That spurs a thought. If Donnie had nothing to do with what Birds been doing, then wouldn't it be safe to say that he probably won't have much to do with putting this' team together, with dolan and isiah in charge?

I wouldn't mind Walsh coming here also, but I think we need to consider those facts.

I don't know why you think Isiah is still going to be here. If Dolan hires Walsh, then Isiah is gone.

Yes Donnie will be the one in charge here and if it's not him making the moves, it's going to be someone who he hires to make the moves.

Any of the above, you can't go wrong when compared to who they're replacing.

Wow' I didn't know Colangel was so popular. I guess that's why I took the poll. So what's the difference between Colangel & Walsh?
