I think anyone can see without a shadow of a doubt just how good this player is--certainly far superior to anyone in the draft--a sure fire NBA superstar in the making. The prize for winning the lottery is big time.

Doug Gotlieb,(ESPN college Analyst) Thinks OJ mayo could be a bigger star in the NBA. He feels mayo has the makeup. He wants to take the big shots. He can score, He also defends and is a hard worker. Has the tools to be a star player.. He feels beasley will be a better scorer but OJ has the ability and makeup to lead a team to the finals.. I was like WOW.....
Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

I think mayo has to grow up a little more first. Mr. Beasle is the real deal. In the McDonald classic, mayo had the last shot to win it and blew it. So far he seems like he's all stuff right now. We already have little stuff nater.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He moves like a guard.. is willing to set screens.. and has an unreal handle for a 6 9 power player.

Curry
Zach
James
Jeffries
starbury
isiah all came with promise and turned into a disaster.

Too much hype, makes for too much wipe.

mayo needs to mature a little more.
I'll never trust this' team again.

This is true. If we win the prize, Beasley's the obvious. But the chances are slim that we'll get Beasley. Mayo is a possibility and a teenager who needs to grow up is not unusual. I also like Bayless, if he's still there.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i loved the way beasley played yesterday, even though i thought he was in trouble when he picked up those 2 quick fouls. i have k-state in my final 4 so him and walker better keep playing well!

don't sleep on walker either, he was a top rated player with mayo coming out of HS only to have knee surgery. he looks to be fully recovered, man he was unstoppable for much of the first hal!

OT but I can't find that the old thread where I mentioned, sophomore Stephen Curry, who plays for, oddly, Davidson. He just dropped 40 on Gonzaga, including 8/11 3s. He's a little small, 6'3", but he's a playa with a complete game. And while Gonzaga isn't exactly UNC, they are a top 20 team and Curry played most of the game being double and triple teamed. If Davidson wins another game or two, Curry will start to get some serious attention. He's not completely unknown but most draft sites list him as undrafted or bottom of 2nd round. Anyway, I'd say that if he comes out this year, he's worth a pick. Again, I haven't seen such a savvy shooter in years.

The Kid shoots exactly like his father, its so creepy. The forms are identical.

There are a lot of guys that aren't on the radar that will be after this touney is overr with. Stephen Curry is a nice player.....can't dismiss a guy that can shoot and score the way he does.

I tend to agree. He's not going to get drafted as high as should, and OJ is the typ eof person who will carry that with him for a long, long time. Beasley, on the other hand, puts in a ton of effort and practice on offense. If he put half as much time into his defense, he'd definitely be a super-duper star. One can definitely not ignore Beasley's beastly numbers or his offensive moves--because they're both awesome--but it's hard to root for that Tim Thomas/Eddy Curry/Zach Randolph temperament.

I figured Curry might have a nice college career and then, maybe, a year or two on an NBA bench. However, he's gotten better with every game, he never has a bad game, and he rises to the competition. If Davidson had blown out Ganzaga, Curry might have had a sleepy 20 points. However, they were down in the second half so he drops 30 and takes the games. It was an amazing performance, half of those 3s were off balance and/or against two or more defenders and he had five steals and zero fouls. Gonzaga has some serious talent, even if they aren't a great team but I think it was clear that Curry was by far the best player on the court. The downside of Davidson's run is that Curry is going to get noticed. I'd be surprised if he doesn't move into the first round picks on most draft boards shortly.

Boy are people being misled about this guy. He's nothing like those guys. He doesn't play excellent Man D but he definitely gives effort he just has poor mechanics in certain situations. He's not strictly a one-way player. He's slightly above average help defender and average Man defender. Timmy, Zach, and Eddy play zero defense.

And this is isiah's type of guy (immature), so more than likely he'll be picked, if isiah is still here.

Curry used to be tiny. Somehow he grew a few inches. He could have a long career just like Dell's.

Beasley- I think anyone who saw Beasley over the last month of the season knew without a shadow of a doubt that this kid was the best player in college bball (even when the team was struggling). His offensive game is as good and as varied as any player in college bball in several seasons. His year is more impressive than Durant's was last year, and IMO Beasley is probably the better prospect.

Damn Rose is looking phenomenal out there!!! Him and Beasley are without a doubt by far the most skilled and NBAready players!!!
Id love to get one of them!!! Actually Id kind of prefer Rose in our situation, as he seems to be a very heady player and is so much more a pure point than Mayo or Bayless!!!
Kevin Love is also just a player!!! If we hadnt Lee, hed prob. duplicate his game for us...

I would take Stephen Curry just for the fact he is Dell Curry's son. Definitely worth the second round pick or lower first round pick. He is a shooter in times where there are no shooters in the game.
