Would they take Beasley, even with Durant, or trade down for someone like Rose/Bayless/Mayo?

I think Beasley projects to a 4 more than a 3 (Durant's position). So, year, they take Beasley. Winning the lottery plus all their cap space, draft picks makes Seattle's future roster as hopeful as Portland's. The obvious downside is their business side is ugly.

only way you trade down from #1 is if there are more than 3 franchise talents in the draft.

That's an interesting question- didn't they maneuver around a lot last year with their picks? Durant is playing his best ball of the year right now...finally efficient from the field.

Beasley and Durant in consecutive seasons? Crazy!

Durant has played 2 guard all year. Beasley can play either forward position. They got plenty of role players and they have the depth.

Why sad? They will be able to add even more talent.
Rebuilding is not one or 2 years thing - it's a process for 4-6 years and they just started.
We are not talking about NY, where rebuilding is a replacement of boring with exiting and then back to boring.

We are not talking about NY, where rebuilding is a replacement of boring with exiting and then back to boring.


They will have to eventually pay all of these first round pick Max or close to max money! You have to be smart and not in the lottery every year. Just look at the Clippers.

If the Sonic win the draft I see them taking Rose. That is one senario in which the Knicks have a shot at Beasley being number 2.

Why do they take Rose? A team with Durant doesn't really need a dominant point guard. Besides Watson has been just fine......Getting Beasley even though they have Jeff Green and wilkins just takes them over the top.

Now the Knicks, if they had #2 with Beasley gone? Yeah they take Rose. Knicks need rose more than seattle. Seattle is annoying......they don't need rose or beasley......greedy bastards!

Sonics will pick Rose for the simple reason that Watson pretty much sucks. He is a stop gap guard until they land Rose or Bayless in this draft. Beasley is more a sf/pf but they have Durant and the have Green who are very similar don't forget that they have Wilcox who is a pf not a center. Sonics have two center prospects that they have been developing I don't think they are going to just give up on that. Rose fits the Sonic muich more ideally than Beasley.

We simply have' to win the #1. If not, we have to somehow get the #2 spot to have a shot at #1, because if Miami passes him up (Mr. Beasley, because they already have Wade) then we'll have that shot. I"m not sure how that would work, to do something like that, but that's the only way. I think Beasley is for real.
