They're up 143-98 on Seattle with 7:00 to go. I'm watching this game - it's absolutely insane.

Anyone know what the previous high in points was before this one?

It's not really a feat to blow out Seattle though.

Their scoring is amazing. It's their defense that gives them problems.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Now I see another stat that's says Detroit holds the record at 186 points in one game. I need to do some detective work here.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Detroit has the record for most points in a game, but that game was in 3 OTs.

I'm assuming the Nuggets record is for most points in a regulation game.

Here'e the all time record. It took three overtimes for the Detroit Pistons to beat the Denver Nuggets (get this) 186 to 184!!!

In 1983

A total of 370 points in one game, between two teams! Incredible!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Yes, true, see post above. Boston held the regulation time record, but looks like the Nugs broke it.

Here's what I don't get, when Wilt scored 100 against the Knicks, the Warriors scored 169 in regulation.

I know there was no shot clock or 3 pointer those days but why would the Nuggets now have the record?

There was' a three point line and a shot clock when Boston set it.

I'm not sure what your talking about with the Wilt 100 and Denver 169?

I'll never trust this' team again.

The game where Wilt scored 100, his team scored 169 (one point more than what the Nuggets scored tonight) in a regular season game.

So why would the Nuggets have the record for most points in a regular season game? I know there was no shot clock or 3 point line when the Warriors scored 169, so I'm assuming that Denver's record is only for the shot-clock era. If anything, it was much harder to do it back then.
