Who needs a potential replacement like Kiki when this guy is available!

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2008/03/16/2008-03-16_isiah_thomas_ineptitude_nears_century_wo.html?%20page=2
King, who is working as an analyst for NBA TV and ESPN, could be a strong candidate to replace Thomas in New York. He and Garden president Steve Mills are good friends.

Nice to see the qualification to be GM is "I'm Steve Mills' friend."
-- the preceding post was brought to you by the letter K and the number 22.

If they even think about interviewing him you know we're in trouble.

Pure speculation. Why didn't Steve Mills take his good friend Billy King to broadway instead of Kiki?

Its going to be this way until the end of the season and Dolan finally breaks his silence.

BTW...I cant imagine going from Layden to Thomas to King the 3 stooges of GM's. Maybe when King bombs we can reach out to Shemp...I mean Mchale.

I have a feeling some would enjoy to see such a move take place just so they could justify I SAY UGH'S time spent here. It's just a name drop but the idea alone is dreadful beyond. This would be GM RELATIONING Us.

I know its just a name drop...but as inept as MSG has been, I'm sure King is on a short list of GMs to replace Isiah if he ever gets replaced.

I agree I think the speculation has more legs than one would want to imagine. He shouldn't be a consideration under any circumstance.

When did they get better as soon as King was fired and the Nets assistant GM came in.

Indeed, I'd rather have Isiah teaming up with Scott Layden then seeing Billy King affiliated with the Knicks in any way. If you look up atrocious in the dictionary there's a picture of Billy King.

If Billy King becomes GM, he will have to fire Isiah and hire LB back as coach.

I can't wait!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
