that is a nice putback, he is running full speed and has the timing and coordination to catch that and put it back in reverse style, with one hand.. that is impressive..

I never seen anything like it. It's just a crazy dunk. You see that type of thing on the "And 1" tour show.....there's no defense being played in those games. At least no meaningful defense.

Still is just a crazy dunk.....Why would Isiah wanna play a power game with Zeddy with guys like Lee on the Knicks?

It is even more impressive that Lee start it all with rebound and fast outlet pass.
This gives you all basic ellements of his game - rebounding, court vision, fast decision making, outlet passing, running the floor, offensive rebounding/putback and finish with any hand...
If he will get better coach and better teammates he can develop in special player.
Not so sure that this will be on Knicks team...

I agree, and since lee is not some chest bumping, ballhog, scoring machine, people don't see him with the potential to be special. Just a regular role player... go figure...

Remember the game winner against philly last year, or the year before?

Less than a second he took the inbounds pass and tipped it in!!!!!

The guy is special.

12 and ten is not appreciated enough!

I don't get that either. I thought he defended the 4 and 5 spot pretty well. His problems are when he is asked to defend natural 3s.

exactly, and for most guys his size, that is a problem. But the other night, someone was all over him for not being able to guard dirk? LOL.. come on.....

The only man who can guard Dirk is... Artest.
And even he will not be able to deny his jumpers...
Artest and Bowen are some of the best defenders in NBA but nobody will blame them for bad defense on Nate or Yao.
It is sad that on NY team the defense is done not by muchup but by guys who cares...

i've seem him do a pretty decent job posting guys up down low & doesn't always go 1 way as he can shoot the ball w/both hands... he's not just an offensive putback guy... just needs to develop a perimeter J & he can take that next step to becoming a viable scoring option if u ask me... wish he would improve on his defense tho cuz he's probably 1 of the worst defending bigmen in the league.

If you could trade him for Thabeet I'd still do it though. Almost for Lee's sake as much as the Knicks. He deserves a ticket out of here.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

i'd probably do it too knowing our biggest need right now is interior defense & shotblocking... i'd hate to give Lee up, but now that Zach is here taking minutes as our starter & grabbing boards (probably not tradeable at this point anyway), Chandler showing some signs he can develop into a solid player if given the playing time (i think u could possibly use him as a 3/4 swing player if u had to, he played mostly at the PF in college) & we still have Balk to make the hustle plays, it's a move i couldn't complain about if it went down... would be painful watching Lee hustle his butt off for another team tho... he's definitely my favorite Knick.

It would pain me to lose Lee also, but what are we gonna do? Waste his better years backing up guys not much better than him?

Thabeet is a stiff to me. Kinda reminds me of Ratliff, just cuz he doesn't seem like a good rebounder. Then he reminds me of booth as far as body type. There are plenty of wack players in the league that can block shots. Foyle comes to mind.

In college, does he remind anyone of hakeem, or ewing as far as defense? Mourning?

Why am I asking that? Cuz Mutombo did! He is up there with the greatest. Is thabeet going to be great? Is he even better than current league leaders or defensive specialists in the nba?

Anyway......david lee could go for someone like jack(even though I don't like jack either, lol) and #13.....just not thabeet......at leadt not @ #5, maybe #13.

The two greatest attributes that Lee brings is his ability to position himself and make as many plays count, as he can.

Because he isn't a true gifted athlete (but athletic enough), he plays a deceptive type of game. He's kind of like a Larry Bird type. He puts his best abilities ahead of things he knows he can't do (and works hard at them) and doesn't fool around on the court or off of it either.
I'll never trust this' team again.
