Worked for Mack-Cali and they've been hit real hard with the uncertainty in the economy. About my whole office was laid-off with me.

Anyone got a position for a Network Administrator in North Jersey?

Sorry buddy. I hope you find something soon.

This recession is going to hurt a lot of people.

That sucks too bad you don't live in the Midwest like I do, getting laid off here if it should ever happen is saying nothing but a word. Employment here is such a good thing there's always work, no matter what.

Make sure your Res is up to date and Pristine and as you've already done now start Networking with People. Remember it's not what you know but who you know. I hope you find work A.S.A.P. hopefully you have some stash to kick back on in the meantime.

Sorry to hear that. I'll poke around and see who I know. Unfortunately I don't know many people in jersey. Regardless, good luck with your search.
I just hope that people will like me

I've been there before. You didn't lose your job. It was taken away from you. Fortunately, this area is a tech job hotspot so you shouldn't have much trouble getting a new job - especially as a SysAdmin.

How flexible are you in regards to getting a job? Would you be willing to relocate/move if necessary or is it not an option and would you switch careers or do something else to stay where you're at?

Sorry to hear that man.

As a Network Administrator, you should be able to find something in the NY metro area. I'm sort of in the tech industry, but I consult for small businesses and none of them need full-time Network Administrators. You can also try to do what I did - just become a consultant.

Sorry to hear that nyk. Real Eastate market is very tough right now, and I guess Mack-Cali was feeling the crunch. Keep your eyes open and you'll get back on your feet in no time...
