Hey, who knows if I'll ever consider making a ridiculously tabloid game thread again after this season?

This battle certainly doesn't match up to these classics...

Remember when all Knicks fans used to have common enemies and none of them were associated with the team we loved? I seriously miss that.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Given how both teams are tanking now and wins are really losses i think we are gonna win this game . . .

Is it possible for both teams to lose tonight?
Let's see which team can try harder to lose.
How pathetic.

isles, I miss that as well, but somehow we always seem to find something to disagree about as fans:

"We'll never win with Ewing as the main guy. He is not good enough, is arrogant, and I'm tired of hearing his 'guarantees.'"

"Jeff Van Gundy aka Mini-Me is stubborn, over-attached to his guys, holding the team back, and with the 'Black Hole' offense."

"Ernie Grunfeld needs to get fired. He has not brought us another star to go with Ewing. Signed over-rated Childs based on one season, a broken down LJ, and Houston who is no where near what we had hoped. He should have signed Reggie Miller, Tim Hardaway...etc. etc."

"Allan Houston is a softee."

That being said now is definitely much worse. Although, I'd say since the team has completely disappointed most of those who are more supportive I think, even here, it's not quite as polarizing as it was to start the season.

LOL, so true

What I also find funny about a lot of those comments is how hindsight changes the view for many:

Grunfeld is now seen as the last good GM we had, and some of those moves key to the team's success
Ewing was the hero/warrior who always took responsibility, worked hard & never made "excuses"
Van Gundy's defensive focus missed
Allan a "character"/loyal player who also never made "excuses" and was one of the better 2 guards in the league

Notice how all of the positives of these players are magnified now that the perception of these things lacking allows us to glorify them?

I ain't saying these guys don't deserve praise, because in general I am a huge supporter of them all (although JVG still creates mixed feelings).

looks like he's trying to pull down John Wallace's shorts in that pic.

I think we are in agreement that it is Scotty Brooks. Now, who is the cat in the upper left corner? I want to say Walter McCarthy.

How pathetic.

if Stern wouldn't take such a dim view, I could see both teams trying to forfeit the game ahead of time!

I'm struggling to find any reason at all to watch this game tonight....or even channel flip back and forth it it. I mean, why bother? The team sucks, the players suck, nobody cares or tries now that they've apparently shut it down, the Heat suck.

It's the most pointless time in the entire year.........
