1. Rose has 1/100th of the ego that Marbury had coming out of college.
2. Marbury was a pure scorer and had the freedom to as he chose offensively, Rose plays in a system that stresses ball movement and taking the open shot.

I don't think they are similar coming out of college, if you asked coming out of high school, I woulda agreed with you, but Rose to me has the potential to be a Championship PG in the NBA becuase of his versatility and willingness to play within the team concept, something Marbury doesn't have and never had.

Rose is a better passer, defends and rebouds the ball. I would love to have him on the Knicks but when it comes to the PG position, it's better for them to remain in school between 2 to 3 yrs. If he stays another yr, he'll become a polish PG.

Kidd, Paul, Deron Williams, Nash, Andre Miller all stayed between 2 to 3 yrs in school and turned out to become really good floor leaders.
The Future. GO KNICKS!

People should stop listening to the "experts". Rose is nothing like Steph. If anything, if you want to compare the two, the comparison would end after Marbury's Minnesota tenure and even then it's a stretch. He gets to the rim mixing strength and quickness. So what. So do a lot of guys. Also, Rose isn't an incoherent *******. And he's coachable. He has the potential to be in that elite group with Paul, Williams, Parker, etc. I think Ty Lawson and DJ Augustin might be able to reach that level as well. FWIW, selecting Rose or any other point guard would be absolutely pointless if Isiah's still around. If Isiah's still here, the Knicks better pray for the #1 and take B-Easy.

I'm with sportsfan11 on this. I don't want Isiah anywhere near any PG we draft. I don't need him "mentoring/giving the keys to the franchise" to another kid who needs to learn to find his way.

What I've seen of Rose he has potential to be a pretty darn good player. But if he leaves early he is going to need a strong mentor there for him. I do not think Isiah is close to being that guy.

That being said: Isiah will be here next year and Rose sucks!!!

I'M TRYING TO WARN YOU!!!

Rose sucks and will always suck and I will go to my grave saying that. Unless of course he turns out to be great and then I will of course change my tune.

Could you imagine Isiah with another PG. Rose's car will have a revolving intern door within his first week on the job. Week 2 he will be fighting Zach in the shower nude and by week 3 he will be requesting spit on the mouths of every NYer in attendance at home games.

We are doomed because Isiah will be here next year.

Honestly Bip, I'm so sick and tired of your charade. You constantly sidestep the issues. For the last time, is Isiah going to be here next year or not? Don't try to dodge this one.

You guys think I'm kidding. Dolan will not prove us all right by firing him. Get used to another year of this. Prep yourselves. Get a hobby. Have a baby. Poke both your eyes out. Anything to keep from wathcing Isiah next year. And trust me, he will be here. I GUARANTEE IT!
