Before everybody rips me, hear me out. Stoudamire just got busted AGAIN for possession. His stock is at an all time low. The Blazers management is trying to clean up its image. So I propose a trade to clear a roster space & get rid of some unwanted contracts.

Shandon Anderson
Howard Eisley

for

Damon Stoudamire

Damon's contract ends in 2 years as opposed to our useless duo which go on for 4 more years, but hey they have good character.

Thoughts?

playa this trade is more about clearing long contracts and freeing up roster spaces for young guys...not winning games. I'd do it.

Thats a beautiful trade. If I were Scott Layden I would do the trade in a heartbeat to get rid of Shandon and Eisley in one shot that would be the ideal trade. Isn't he going to get suspended though by the league, no matter I would still do the deal it will give frank William time to play which he needs in the worst way. Once again great trade.

Damon can teach him about the medical uses of weed. LAyden doesn't have to inhale.

You get the feeling that Stoudamire is trying hard to get traded. I mean the guy actually took weed to the airport put it in the tray after the metal detector went off and when the inspecter asked him what it was he said it was weed and its mine. That is some stupid shyt on his part. I don't think he knows its considered a drug can he be that stupid.

Layden is too hung up on character issues, yet he gambles on an injured player like McDyess. Layden needs to investigate EVERY possible avenue to improve the Knicks.

If the Blazers need more to do the trade, we can throw in Frank Williams. It works cap-wise too. That would open up another roster spot, which we could use on someone who impresses in the summer league plus make a more attractive place for Vujanic to join.

I'd rather throw in Frank Williams than trade away the rights to Vujanic.

As far as your comment... Stoudamire contract 2 years... Anderson/Eisley 2006/7... Damon vastly superior player... only problem... I'm sure Blazers are not that stupid... but again, it's all a moot point, as we've said... with the boy scout.

Layden needs to start doing 2 for 1 trades or just trades where we're taking back less players than are coming back to us. You need the roster flexibility to place Lampe & Vranes after the Knicks buy out their contracts and to sign players like Lenny Cooke or Marcus Hatten if they pan out in the Summer Leagues.

The Blazers may not be stupid but they are sick of being known as the Jail Blazers. I have read in more than one place that they were desperate to trade Mighty Mouse before; this recent incident probably accelerates the process of trying to find him a new home in the NBA.

I would make this trade in a heartbeat!!!! This is the move to make and then get odom and put him at the 3. Have Spree come off the bench as the swing guy and let Williams learn up tempo from Stoudamire!

Stoudamire
H20
Odom
Sweetney
KT

Spree
FWill
Lampe
Doleac
Harrington

i like the trade for Stoudamire but i dont think Port. will do it.Unless you replace Anderson for Thomas, then we talkin. It's good cuz we unload at the PF position and it gives Port. a opportunity to trade Wallace.Sign Odom for the MLE.Then do a sign and trade for Kandi-Man.Deal Spree and Weatherspoon, throw in Knight.

KANDI - DOLEAC - LAMPE
SWEETNEY - HARRINGTON
ODOM - LAMPE - NESBY
HOUSTON - ANDERSON
STOUDAMIRE - WILLIAMS
!!!Knicks!!!

If Mighty Mouse has some kind of agenda to be traded, then his intent should be straight up. But creating weed-coated headlines to make the same point is downright lunacy. Layden is too smart to buy into that kind of rationale.

Besides, Mighty Mouse has not been straight since the Lil General told him what time it was.

Spree used a similar tactic, NY went hook, line and sinker ....look what it is costing us.

Sorry, but NO THANKS

But with Spree, we only gave up Starks, Mills, and TC...I wouldnt call that a loss...especially after going to the finals shortly thereafter...If the Starks/Spree trade had gone down in 95, imagine what might have been in 97...
