Just a sick display of what he's capable of tonight against the Blazers. He made Steve Blake look like a complete statue more than a few times, including once where Blake was literally standing upright and frozen as Nate blew by after crossing Steve over multiple times, and the one were Blake lost his sneaker...haha.

45 pts, 16-28 fg, 2-6 3pt, 11-13 ft, 6 rb, 6 ast, 2 to, 1 stl, too many amazing plays to recall.

I was thoroughly impressed with his play, as it was also in the flow of the game. It was key to our competitiveness.

Makes me wonder if we keep him what kind of player we should draft.

i swear the guy just plays at a different speed & energy level than anyone else on the floor for the entire 48 minutes... i wish he could convert some of that intensity & energy to his defensive game, but that was a tremendous game by Nate today... seems like he can be part of the longterm solution & not the problem if he can keep playing the way he has this year.

I love it when Clyde gets excited. Nate excited him tonight and the adjectives were just flowing.

Maybe Nate can start getting the respect he deserves. He's a damn good player and he isn't the problem.

Someone needs to do a youtube mix of this game for Nate.

Nate will never be more than a bench player because he doesn't possess the right mindset in a game. He'll put up numbers on losing teams but he will never be anything more than a scoring guard off the bench. That isn't a bad thing, but we seem to have many of those at the moment. Plus, he is still a little too immature for my liking. I don't hate the guy and I wouldn't be upset if we kept him but I'm not going to have an orgasm over him either. Scoring 45 points is a huge feat for any player but that doesn't make them great either. Remember, the great Tony Delk scored 50 twice.

BTW, why did Randolph Morris go back to getting DNP's and Malik Rose started?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Right. And there are a couple of guys who just love being homers. Nate sucks. That's what said, right? Maybe when you tone down the homerism you can also learn how to read.

What's the difference--the guy went for 45 and played one heckuva game and you still break them on him for no apparent reason.

I'm keep it real my friend. I don't lose my mind over one game. Like I said, it's one game. Has he been playing been better this season? Sure. Has he improved attitude wise? Eh. Has he improved in-game decision wise? No. Maybe that comes with maturity and that's fine but I'm not ready to christen the man the new midget superstar because of one game. I am able to stay on level ground especially with a team that has disappointed people for years.

tony delk scored 53 points, and he did it just ONCE... But guys like delk, and willie burton who had 50 point games, were not as electric or as talented as nate is overall.. They were solid players who got real hot and had special, special games. In tony delks best season as a pro, he had the same numbers nate has now ,pretty much, except nate has him by about 1 assist per game....Both averaged 12ppg... So I don't want to chalk this up as some lucky game, nate scored a previous career high of 34 before and has had other really good, electric games. It is not another, Tony delk situation here..

I have serious questions of anti-midget bias for anyone who busts on Nate right after the type of all-around game he played last night. Forget the points for a moment. He rebounded and garnered assists, which translates to me that his head was totally in the game.

Anyone who falls back on the tired, "i don't like his attitude" line is only looking to rehash someone's attempt at typecasting his career possibilities or threshold.

Nate made up his mind this Summer to be better.

He has gotten better. Perhaps much better than some are willing to recognize.

You go Nate.

[Sarcasm]Nate hasn't won anything. See steve nash? He won 2 straight mvp's!!! What a guy! Forget he was an after thougth through the early part of his career....well until he signed with Pheonix. Yeah but forget all that.....steve nash is the best. Nate could never get drafted by an awesome team like Pheonix......er wait a sec[/sarcasm]

One great game and suddenly Nate's the greatest player the Knicks ever had. Well' I been right about this team before the season started and I've always been right about Nate. Come next game, he'll still be the same old mouthy little short armed punk that he was ever since he got to the Knicks.

This guy is nothing but all show. Amazing one time performance though, I gotta admit. Too bad he couldn't do this kind of play on a regular basis and actually rub off on other players. I'd like him to totally prove me wrong! But I doubt it.

The Knicks still' lost the damn game.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I gotta agree with GKF2 in a bigger picture scheme. Difference is I am excited about Nate. He is like Barbosa on Pheniox.

How you win with that is you get another guard that compliments him. Nate is exciting energetic scoring guard. You compliment him buy bring in a pure floor general. Doesn't have to be a superstar player. But a nice good quality floor general that excells on defense and setting up an offense.

But you also have to move Crawford for a shooter.

And if Nate doesn't work out, your left with a little buster and a floor general who can't score.
I'll never trust this' team again.

The title is Nate the Gr8, but I nor anyone else here, I believe, has said Nate is a great player at this point.

I said it was a "display of what he's capable of" implying that he hasn't reached that level yet.

We've seen similar play from him especially during SL, but tonight he was the main scorer, so hence part of the reason he was able to go off. Interesting how that team did not have the main vets we currently rely on, which is more reason to give he and the yoots burn the rest of this season, perhaps to develop a new team identity.

I disagree that he is all show as well. Are Lebron and Kobe all show because they often make their defenders look silly? Nate's "show" last night was within the flow of the team game. He also had 6 assists, and 2 turnovers (1 through 3 quarters), as well as 6 rebounds.

Nate is an emotionally intense guy so when he displays it on the court sometimes, this turns some fans off, which I can understand. He got a technical foul at one point after scoring and then screaming towards the crowd. It wasn't even clear why he got a tech, and the announcers did not seem to think it was warranted, but just his reputation, and repeated excitable response may have played a role.

This is what I mean. One great game and suddenly he' s up there with Lebron and Kobe.

Come on man' Lebron and Kobe are 'TRUE' superstars of the game. I will give Nate just one point.

I once said that if he was two to three inches taller, then no doubt he'd be a star. But because of his migetness, how many points has he been denied, because his little bitty arms couldn't get to the rim fast enough? I warned against drafting this little pigsqweek because of the hieght disadvantage, but a few thought it would've been a mistake.

Nate's a nice asset to have on the bench and not as a sixth man. He would make any' bench deep and that's about it.
I'll never trust this' team again.
