It would definitely be good for the NBA, as it would allow one of the league's charter franchises be more competitive again. The only question is that if this really does get rigged, can anyone prove it somehow ?

This is similar to the Ewing draft in 85. Many thought it was rigged.

Even if he could do it, no way he would with the current establishment still entrenched.
There would have to be a shake up first.

Oh you mean like the Bucks became when they drafted Andrew Bogut at Number 1? People never assume that number 1 picks = wins. Sure it puts you in a great position but its no gurantee for quick success.

No much better to pick at #9. That guarantees wins.

My point is that in terms of the Knicks they need to be revamped from top to bottom and no No 1 pick alone is going to turn this situation around (especially if Isiah is still here). Also if you read the entire post I did acknowledge that the No. 1 pick does put you in a good situation but it doesn't gurantee to anything.

Think about how our fortunes would have changed if we had just taken the time of weighing the value of 37 wins/Lebron/Carmelo/Bosh etc.

You obviously didn't understand all the learning that guys like TT and Marbs would get from that magical run for the 8th seed. You can't put value on that type of learning. Just look at us now. Oh, how we learned

u can't place a value on battle-tested vets like that... i think we made the smart move eeking out that 9th seed in the lottery... look at those Cavs, Heat & Raptor fans kicking themselves in the butt over that one... HAHAHA, we sure fooled them!

Oh God. I'm having "battle tested" veteran flashbacks.

Whatever happened to Mustafa? And who on this team does he consider a battle tested veteran?

i dunno, but i sorta miss the deluded rants he used to post... made for some good comic relief... i'd love to hear what he thinks about our battle tested vets Zach, Jefferies & Turd... i can't believe Travis Knight didn't get more playing time when he was on the team, afterall he learned the game while playing behind Shaq Diesel.
