The Sacramento Kings today will release point guard Tyronn Lue, clearing the way for Lue to possibly sign with the Knicks, the Daily News has learned.

Lue’s buyout will be finalized later this afternoon, which would allow him to sign with a team and be on their playoff roster. The Knicks considered acquiring Lue before the trading deadline but could not get a deal done. Isiah Thomas has said the Knicks need a point guard with Stephon Marbury out for the remainder of the season following ankle surgery.

In order for the Knicks to sign Lue, they would have to release a player. The two most likely candidates are veteran guard Fred Jones, who is in the final year of his contract, and second-year forward Randolph Morris, who has appeared in just two games this season.

Lue was traded two weeks ago to Sacramento from Atlanta in the deal for Mike Libby. (typo by Isola)

Why would we want to add this guy now???

They better sign him quick to get him on their playoff roster.

Nate Robinson has demanded a play pal his size to play with, if they want him to stay on the team, Big Snacks is just to big.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

This is it! This is the big move Cap'n Zeke has been waiting to make, that will finally turn the ship around and get 'er back on course.

However, I know Fred Jones won't be included. He's too valuable a member of the crew.

Better question would be why would Lue want anything to do with the Knicks?

Exactly. Maybe he will become a Mav so he can be the shooting replacement for Jason Kidd with 2 minutes to go......lol.

Another scrub added to the roster. Nice way for Isiah to go out.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Boston is gonna probably sign Sammy though.

The thing about Lue is that he needs a job somewhere. It's not like he's so good that he can wait out a contender. He's mostly just a scrub that can d up some fast pg's.

That the Knicks are actually considering signing him for the stretch is one of the most absurd things I've ever heard. I'm not sure anyone or thing can be more delusional than this organization.

You guys are laughing but the sad thing is we're still in it. And with the crappier-than-life teams we're facing I don't like it at all. We'll probably beat the Hawks tonight too.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

This is f**** absurd. Since Isiah wasn't canned at the beginning of the season like he should have been, we wouldn't be in the predicament that we ind ourselves in. A desperate man fighting for his job, trying win every game in a lost season (thus burying his rooks and second year players). Now he is considering signing a mediocre guard (who is not a pg)to try and garner a few more wins (lol at the thought that Tryrone Lue is going to help anyone win any games.)

While trying to save his job, this desperate man is going to wreck our team some more before he bids farewell.

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.
