We do have quite a few discussions on this board about their team and to be honest they aren't that bad to watch. They have a bright future ahead of them top to bottom, across the board.

I'm wondering if we should start something like an inboard rivalry. I think it could be fun as long as we keep things civil. We could come up with ideas with how to make this become a huge thing. Like have a 2yr rivalry with stipulations.

Or is this too much and not feasible for the ULTIMATEKNICK DIE HARDS?

It's creeped into my head. If things do not change around here, I can see myself for the first time supporting the Brooklyn Nets. Jason Kidd, who I hate, is not there anymore. I can easily move to BK once my lease is up in two years, just in time. And it's become to easy to absolutely HATE the New York Knicks. I don't like a single player on this pathetic team. Nothing is really holding me back. I do have a sense of loyalty to Patrick Ewing and that team. But if James Dolan doesn't give a **** about me as a fan, **** him and his franchise.

That wouldn't be original. I'm not a Webmaster nor do I want to depend on one to maintain the site, then there's funding, support, and moderating. I'm sure it can be a lot of work at times.

How would we have simultaneous discussions without taking away from this board? I was thinking of something where we could keep everything here. Andrew and Martin may not like it but I think it would be fun at least for a yr or two. Both teams during this time will be searching for an identity and it will be interesting to see who'll fair better two yrs from now.

Why do you hate Jason Kidd? He is everything you want in a point guard. Is it personal?

this would only highlight the difference between what is a well run organization that just rebuilt on the fly and is poised to be good in the next 2-5 years vs. the crap that we have to deal with as Knick Fans.

It would only make me a net fan- and I am already moving that way, or at least, away from the knicks...

I cant believe a true Knicks fan could ever even entertain the idea of rooting for the Nets.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I can't believe a true Knicks fan could ever entertain the idea of rooting for Vin Baker, Zach Randolph, Steve Francis, Mo Taylor, Jerome James, Jalen Rose, Q-Woods.

inviting Nuts fans over here to debate is just asking for trouble... trust me, it's only going to lead to flame wars.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

It doesn't make sense to me. If you dont want to talk Knicks, then go find another website to talk about the team you want to talk about. This is a Knicks website meant for Knicks fans. Sure times are tough but that doesnt mean you start eating cheetos and talkin Nets, Heat, Raptors, or whoever else on a regular basis.

totally agree. I root for the name on the front not on the back. Regardless of how inept this franchise has been over the years, I just can't switch allegiances.

That's what 7 years of losing, lazy fat players who don't give a damn, the Hitler version of a basketball coach in Isiah Thomas has done to me.

The better questtion is, how can any Knick fan CONTINUE to suuport this franchise when there is no hope in sight? Sad that there will always be people like Earl who get excited every summer and expect Playoffs with these loser players.

I can understand supporting the concept of the Knicks. I can understand hoping and praying the team turns it around. I can understand watching every game and hoping against hope that a miracle comes around and the team gels and does great things. I can understand being upset with everything and feeling lost and not wanting to watch the games.

There are two things I can't understand
1.) Crossing over to another team
2.) Going to the games and sticking money in Dolan's pocket, thus prolonging your own misery.

It's tough. I have been a fan of this franchise since 1982. Louis Orr, Darrell Walker, Bill Cartwright, Pat Cummings, Ken the animal Bannister, etc.

There have bad times, good times, horrifically embrassing and hopeless times and then there is where we are right now as a franchise.

I stopped rooting for them to win games after LB was fired. At this point i just don't even care enough to root against them anymore. With Dolan owning and Isiah running this franchise. It pretty much took all of the joy out of watching NBA basketball. (Thank god the Hoyas are back!!)

Now, even if Isiah does get fired after this year. I still pretty much hate all 15 guys on the roster, so it will still be hard to root for them even after this nightmare ends. If it ever does, Isiah still has 3 years of losing non-playoff basketball to go to catch up with glen sather's streak of ineptness at the garden.

Long story, short - I don't seen any of this changing with an owner that doesn't care at all about a fanbase. So i can definetly understand any fan that has had enough and wants to root for another team

I'm with you. This is a tough bunch to root for. I never had problems rooting for Eddie Lee, "the Animal" and Pat cummings. This group is a different story.
