So far it's incredible. What makes it so interesting Marcus Williams played extremely well to start at point tonight and then Harris came in and turned it up another notch. Marcus looks more like a pure point but Harris is Dynamic. He might be better suited to play the two.

Harris is looking great. The Nets are fortunate to have 2 good young PG's to help rebuild. I'm sure Harris will get minutes at the 2 as well. Harris should be getting 30-35 minutes a night with Williams getting 20-25.

Rod Thorn just pulled off a lopsided trade when he also picked up Diop.

Nets have servicable front court guys swift, krstic, boone and Diop.

SWING MEN VC and RJ

And two dynamic Pg's Harris and Williams.

They could make some noise in the playoffs IMHO

Just with one move Kiki put his fingerprints on their franchise. Not to mention having those two not only is a luxury but no doubt they'll grow to have chemistry together and help raise each others game. It's like night and day having Marcus/Devin vs say Marbury/Bumchise.

imagine a team that has the long range vision to actually clear cap space to make a legitimate run at a guy like Lebron, Wade or Bosh in a couple seasons, & also is able to acquire talented young players like Devin Harris along w/draft picks in the process... but hey, what do meaningless things like cap flexibility & young talent have to do with building a winning franchise?

I'd love have Devin and RJ on our team. Rod Thorn did pull of a great move. Now they need to trade Vince for whatever young players or picks they can get.

To be fair, he had a hall-of-famer at his expense. Lets see him turn Curry, Randolph, Q and the rest of tis garbage into wine. Not tryong to knock on Kiki, but it will much harder on this side of the river.

why? those 2 will look a lot better than what they are because of the presence of Carter.

I was watching the nets game tonight at the gym.

Yo! I'm hating on the Nets right now! Devin Harris was amazing. He was highly impressive. He looked made to play for that team. He took leadership already.......wow man. I'M HATING HARD RIGHT NOW!

The Knicks absolutely need a guy like Devin Harris.

FUCK US!!! WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE ENSLAVED!!!

No Bonn VC stays, everyone on the team benefits by him staying do you even watch the games?

They are still trying to win now, the nets have a nice mixture of maturity and youth.

I haven't watched the Nets much this year but I've never heard people call Vince a player who made his teammates better.

have you ever gone back and look at the rosters of those Toronto teams Carter had to carry?

do you believe winning 45 games with a starting 5 that consisted of Alvin Williams Antonio Davis Charls Oakley and a rookie Mo Pete was an easy task?

Kidd torpedoed this season a lot more than a "lazy" Vince did.

when the trade went down with NJ Carters numbers were 27.5 ppg 5.9 rebs 4.7 assts 1.5 stls 46% 82% 42.5% from 3 in 59 games and I think Kidd went something like 18 9 and 9 post trade. He may not be a MJ or Kobe type of leader but he will follow a good one and make the game real easy for evry one else.

Carter can play this game. You just have to watch him. He is in no way shape or form the type of ******* that Marbury is. He can flat out play this game. He may have lost 10" inches off his verticle but he still can do everything on the court well.

Anyway, go nets! I wish we could trade teams with them right now. Their roster is fabulous. All the players actually sucseed in the same style of play......they will be good as is.

I never said Carter didn't make his *teams* better; I said he didn't make his *teammates* better. On those rare occasions when he was motivated to play hard, he did make his teams better. (A rare-occasion hard player is exactly the kind I'd want to keep away from my young players.) I'm not sure what Kidd stats you're referring to but I'm guessing any sample of games in which he averaged 18 PPG must be small and unreliable.

I wouldn't call a full 2 3/4 seasons for Carter as a net prior to this one with numbers like that a rare occasion. and Kidd actually avg'd damn near 1 a game in 02-03. but the time frome I'm referring to is the last 40 or so games in 04-05 where NJ came from the bottom of the Atlantic to make the play-offs on the backs of Kidd and Carter

I figured it was about 40 games. As to the other part, Kidd averaged damn near 1 *what* a game? (I don't know what stat you're referring to--steals, fouls.) As to the first part, I think we're gonna have to just agree to disagree on the topic of whether Vince is the kind of consistent hard worker you want on a team of young players.

first impressions of devin harris performance is promising.......why?

anyone was listening to wfan prior to the game franks stated he would give devin free reign to play his game plus considerable amounts of minutes if needed. franks also said he would not interfere with devin's play (providing the nets are winning, i assume). franks also made an analogy of point guards and quarterbacks are the most important players of their team in that everything centers around their play.

does this mean lawrence franks is genius ? not really, devin harris is a decent player that wants to play the game.
franks will probably take devin's game to the next level......for now, nice start
