Sorry but this draft sucks and reminds me of 2000 when KMart went #1 or #2. Fizer, Stromile, Mike Miller.. UGH

I actually like this draft better then last years, not counting the top 3

unless that's your point?

I disagree, there are a ton of players filled with POTENTIAL... that's the operative word here! Only 3 possible superstars, but a draft full of serviceable players.

I'd be happy with DeAndre Jordan, Jerryd Bayless, Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon Michael Beasley, Donte Green or Brook Lopez

Having a chance at guys like Rose or Beasley is definitely not a bad thing, I'll throw Gordon into that mix as well. After that, I see your point though.

yea.. and you liked the Jerome James signing too. "We NEED a center."

We need more than potential. Since this franchise isnt willing to take a couple years to properly cultivate talent we have to hope like hell we get something close to a franchise player with our sure to be top 5 pick. You see any in this draft? Some good talent, OK.. but a franchise guy? Even a regular all star?

Miami might trade down that pick if they get the #1 pick.

If Marion stays they don't need beasley.

1.Miami-PG Derrick Rose/Pick Traded

2.Minnesota-SF Michael Beasley

3.Memphis-C DeAndre Jordan

4.Seattle-SG Eric Gordon

5.New York-PG Jerryd Bayless

6.Charlotte-C Roy Hibbert

7.LA Clippers-SG Chase Budinger

8.Milwaukee-PF Blake Griffin

9.Indiana-C Brook Lopez

10.Chicago-C Hasheem Thabeet/Pick Traded

11.Phoenix-SG Nicolas Batum

12.Kings-PG OJ Mayo

13.Blazers-SF Danilo Gallinari

14.Nuggets-PF Kosta Koufos

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I kind of agree, I don't see any "franchise" level talent. Mike Beasley and Derrick Rose will be good players and All-Stars but they are not LeBron James caliber.

playa2, I'd be VERY happy with Jerryd Bayless!!

I think if Miami is smart they sign and trade Marion get some additional picks add a player like childress for 7 million that does many of the same things, take a flyer on a player like livingston or even try to bring in calderon.

They add two starters in addition to a draft pick forming a nice young core. Perhaps even look to trade the pick to the bulls with marion for Noah and Ben Gordon.

Gordon/Livingtson
Wade/Cook
Childress/Wright
Haslem
Noah

Maybe we'll be lucky and Isiah will be able to pull an extra lottery pick like Randolph Morris out of a hat.

Well he did get a lottery type player if he was 6" taller for the 21st pick 3 years ago.

i agree that this draft has potential and there are a significant amount of players that could help our tema, especially the frontcourt. however, the wise choice is to establish our point guard position especially if we are getting rid or marbury. maybe we can get another pick if we trade marbury since i think his contract expires after the 2009 season. so a derrick rose or jerryd bayless would be the ideal pick up in this cirmunstance. as far as bigs go, i think we better stick with athletic defensive centers like jordan or that kid from uconn. oh, here is a question. why has oj mayo's stock decreased so much in the past two months? in the beginning of the season, his stock was high listing him as the top three picks. is it because of his attitude? or has his skills diminished? i thought he was a good player when i do get a chance to watch him. he would fit on this team IF we get rid of the sulkers and thomas.

the problem with that is that the heat are in a desperate situation. they have to rebuild quickly, almost on the fly, if they want to keep wade around. remember he has only two more season on his contract. i can see them trading their pick to pick up a good established player and keep marion. they must be back in contention for wade to stay. they can't have a team that needs time. though that lineup has potential, it would take a couple of years before they gel.

This draft is great the 2009 draft is terrible in my opinion. We need guards and a lot of them and this year draft has that.

until the NCAA tourney is over, there are probably some unknowns that will move up - I can't recall if anyone thought Carmelo Anthony was anything before the tourney - and even after, Detroit passed on him.

This draft is nice because you have quality supply at almost every position. How many drafts have mutliple C's like this year? We really could use two picks one for a guard one for a C.

I wish we could also use the draft to draft a Owner, President, GM and coach.

no carmelo always had a high stock since he was basically in high school. dwayne wade's stock rose because of the tourney and it turned out to be the real deal.

if we can't get a franchise talent then trading down for multiple picks to add depth & fill holes might be a feasible option... just throwing that out there.
