augustin is probably the best player on texas this year, i could see him being a top-20 pick. he was durant's wingman last year as a freshman. nice finish on the reverse!

Beasley is lazy as hell getting back on defense and his body language has "Marbury" written all over it. I say the Knicks pass on this lazy bum.

The guy can score on people with his eyes closed. He has superstar potential and you don't pass that up. With that being said, we wont be sniffing a chance to draft him since we will be picking 7th or 8th.

Funny you mentioned that. It's the same thing they said about Marbury.

Carmelo has the same attitude and he's a franchise player. My point is, if he turns out like Marbury's he will be young enough to deal for something of very high value. I don't think he's another Marbury though.

After watching Beasley for a few minutes I can already tell his basketball IQ isn't that high. Beasley was calling for the ball in the final 30 seconds of Kansas State's last posession before halftime. Isn't that when the ball should be in the hands of only your PG and not shoot until the final 5 seconds ?

Lazy what are you talking about. He is averaging 2 block per game and is a rebounding machine, rebounding is pure effort. Stop making assumptions on players. Beasley is going to be star in the NBA. He is a can't pass talent, the best talent in the NCAA right now.

You're probably one of those people that though Marbury didn't choke after missing that critical free throw against Seattle last season.

I never wish Marbury on anyone. I find it insulting that you are comparing a you 19 year old sf/pf type player with Marbury.

It's got absolutely nothing to do with age and position. Attitude is attitude, its apparent and noticeable everywhere you go. And these are my opinions, not assumptions.

When a player becomes the number one overall pick that Marbury type of attitude goes out the window. Not to many number one picks come with a bad attitude. It usually gets burried by the need to live up to the top draft pick billing.

V, I almost always agree with your player assessments, but I tend to think the same way as Hustla on this one. I can't give any solid evidence to support this assertion. There is just something intangible about him that makes me question his attitude too.

I personally would take Rose first and Beasley second though in the Knicks position. Beasley's ceiling appears to be somewhere north of the moon, but I wouldn't want Beasley to mature on THIS roster.

However small the flag, Beasley learning NBA attitude from Randolph, Curry, Nate, etc. would scare the hell out of me.

Yeah.

I'm not saying Beasley has the same type of cry baby attitude like our friend Eddy Curry here, who says idiotic things like "I'm not going to change" and things of that nature. I guess my assessment on Beasley's attitude was more in comparison with the type of attitude/swagger Kobe Bryant had when he first came into the league, and its worked wonders for him by allowing him to be the best player in the game today. If Beasley can learn to control that over confidence that draft scouts discredit him for, he can use that as a motivational tool to let him be one of the greatest in the future.

Beasley........college basketball is too easy for him. He doesn't look like he's trying. He looks bored literally to tears.

Comparing him to Carmelo isn't correct cuz even though Carmelo made it look easy, he still brought the insane attacking energy every night. Beasley doesn't do that at all.
If he is so good, he needs to really go nuts in conference tourney play.

Beasley did the same thing while in prep school , (not looking to interested).

What might benefit him is going to a pro team with seasoned vets who can show him what it takes to be a PRO.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
