I know you can't always tell, but are Rose or Beasely really franchise players??? Or should Isay franchise changing players.

Is Mayo a Joe Johnson level player, very good player/ Allstar level talent or is he a franchise carrier like AI??
Is Beasely a Pau or a Duncan.
Is Rose a Devin harris or a Jason Kidd.

I watch these guys from time to time and I don't get the feeling that they are Franchise changers. Honestly the only player that i seen and believe that he could be as dominate in the NBA as he is in the Ncaa is Gordon. Do you guys who watch these kids play alot more feel the same way???

Beasley and Mayo have character issues. I love EG and it because he can guard, shoot with unlimited range and knows how to play the game. Rose is another kid I love also. If we can get one of those two players it is a huge upgrade from what we have.

I'm excited I will finally get to see Beasley play tonight at the Baylor/Kansas State game. It's nice to be able to watch some decent basketball again.

No- if there were any sure things- you can bet that Seattle, memphis, Charlotte would all be going out of their way to finsih the season at 10-72 (especially if there was anyone close to LBJ Duncan type.

Mike Beasley is a franchise type player. I didnt think that way when I first started watching him and I thought he had a bad attitude/lackadsical which could mean prima dona/bad characheter . I have seen him enough now to understand I was wrong on my intial assessment. He has NBA first team type of skills. He needs to get better distributing but he is FAR advanced shooting and rebounding the ball compared to LBJ.

There are really good players in the draft with high potential. I think Chris Douglas Roberts is another Rip Hamilton----Derrick Rose has Dwayne Wade type potential Jerryd Bayless looks like something of what a Monta Ellis is doing--I mean 22 points 4-4 near 50% with good D. Brook Lopez looks like real Duncan lite but with Duncan size. Eric Gordan looks like a smaller version of Mitch Richmond. Thabeet with some more strength and skill training sure does look like another Dikembe Mutumbo among other really good players. I don't know if you can consider Rose a pure PG--I dont but after him I'm not happy with what is left at the PG slot. To many smallish players. I think we can get a high quality player. I do hope we have some luck and end up pick 1-2-3 Pick 1 is a no brainer unless IT is doing the draft.

Beasley has nearly 30-10 in the first half. Im sorry but Ive been watching basketball for 35 years and I don't remember anyone quite like him. He is a superstar of the highest brand in the making. ANY club that gets Beasley will have their franchise dramtically altered and worth millions more.

Beasley is the only one

Gordon, Mayo, and Rose have potential to be franchise players
some Knick fans accept mediocrity as excellence .... I don't!

Mayo and Gordon don't have any potential to be franchise players. Rose does. But it doesn't matter anyway since we wont get any of these guys in the end.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I'll tell you Billy walker gets outshined by Beasley but he is top 10 material. CDR and Walker will end up in the top 10. It's a really good draft better than the last couple of years. Unfortunately the NY Knicks dont believe in the NBA draft.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I just can't imagine if Miami gets Beasley. Wade, Marion, Beasley. You just need a distributor and some fouls and D at the 5.

Yes, he certainly does. Anyone else watch Memphis versus Tennessee? Rose played a FANTASTIC game, despite the loss. I didn't lke some of the turnovers, but his shots were all high percentage and his vision is awesome.

rose made some tough shots, and was money on the baseline with that jumper...He played himself to the point of exhaustion.. that kid is going to be a star...

Yeah Beasely is going to put up numbers, Is his dominance going to translate to the nba. How many times does a great college go for 43 and lose???? It wasn't like they were play NC or Duke either.

But Rose........ I'm really not to sure about. I relly see why Briggs thinks this guy is a combo guard. Last 9minuteswith a perfect season on the line and all Rose did was hit four jump shots. I don't think that is Franchise level player. This like the fourth time Ive seen him and none of his assist were making his teammate take a better shot or creating a shot from them. He'll probably be good, but he is probably closer to Devin Harris then Jason Kidd......... wecould really use a Devin Harris though.

Now Gordon is like AI, even though he was having an off day against Purdue I think, he still made them put him on the line. Nobody in the build was stopping him from getting to the rim.

anji, in the last 9 minutes all rose did was hit 4 jump shots? that's pretty impressive as a true freshman in the most eagerly anticipated basketball game in tennessee state history. i'm sorry but i think derrick rose will be the face of a franchise as a 25-8-5 type of guy, he is a stud.

i love beasley as well, people complain about his attitude but the guy has swag. going into kansas and beating them on the road was certainly ipmressive.

i like eric gordon too, he can be a top-flight scorer at the next level, and i think thabeet is going to be a starting C in the NBA one day b/c of his shotblocking prowess.

briggs, you think CDR is the next rip hamilton? i think he's too slow and his mid-range game is too erratic for that type of comparison. i'm not sure hwo i see his game translating on the next level

I think they are very similar. Remember Rip is no freak athlete or race horse. They both are 6-7 with kind of slight frames but GREAT basketball players with big game moxy.

It's impressive or an average prospect, but it isn't Great. 9minutes to go he did not take over that game or leave his imprint on it. He looks like a good number two guy, something knicks need.
