Stern: Knicks Will Be Better In 2009
February 18, 2008 - 9:17 am
The New York Post -

During a press conference in New Orleans NBA commissioner David Stern told the press that he thinks the Knicks will be better next season, according to the New York Post.

It could be possible that Stern is aware that front office changes are imminent in New York.

"I'm optimistic, at least for next season," Stern said

I'm sure there's nothing behind that... it's easy to say they will be better next year... and guess what ? He said the same thing last year too...

If Dolan and Isiah survive this year, it's gonna be hard for me to even watch an other Knicks game before a long time !

its hard to be worse.

I'd like to think Dolan made peace with Stern & has admitted to being wrong with Isiah, and that he plans changes soon.

I'd like to think.

Hopefully he has convinced Dolan to fire Isiah and as an insentive, he'll throw in a this years #1 pick

I'd have to admit thet the more quiet the team has been the better.

I know we all want to see big changes yesterday but lets just hope that cooler heads prevail and a rehaul of this team is forth coming.

Dolan need not do anything before season tix renewals are going out, so why just let it fall by the wayside and develope plan "B" and live with it.

I'd love to see a rebuild but we just gonna have to wait it out.

What ever happens between between Dolan and Stern will result in Dolan saving face than him getting scolded by him. So if Stern is coaching him on a turnaround and what the league can do for him we are not going to know a thing. Stern can help put owners together to get contracts moved. Its business and it has to make sense for some teams to "Help" us, but it happens.

Wishful thinking? Thats all we got.

Sensationalized bull****. Make some roster moves before the deadline and get ready for the draft. If David Stern is gonna cheat for us then thanks.....otherwise show and prove.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Stern needs to put down the cheetos and step away from the computer.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

what expensive, chemistry killing nba player will be available this summer for Marbury's ending contract?

And, yea, I suppose things could get worse!

The Isiah Thomas special. Let's see. Isiah could bring back Tim Thomas, Jalen Rose and Steve Francis.

I figured it out!

Knicks will get Miami's lottery pick somehow and win the lottery twice!

Orlando did it two years in a row with Shaq and Penny. So this year the Knicks will win not only the 1st.....but the 2nd pick in the same draft!

Beasley AND Rose on the same squad! OH Yeah!

That would be cool to win the lottery twice. The only problem is that Isiah would reach badly. He'd do something like pick the most undersized guard in the draft, followed by picking the most athletic guy in the draft with no actual basketball skills.

Right. What's next from him... "the sky is sorta, kinda, almost, maybe a shade of blue"?

let's start up a 22 page thread when he predicts we'll make the playoffs next year.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Well I got excited when I read this, and then came here and had my excitement put to sleep. I forgot how optimism can be killed so quickly by forums.
