is this sarcasm about this team being ready to turn the corner? I can't tell?
I've held out hope before during Isiah's time here- but now I think its fairly evident that when we're playing our best ball, its largely the rooks & role players out there, and not our stars.
I think we should look to move some of our more attractive pieces right now- I think a good GM could move & get back a nice return on Crawford. I think you might even be able to move jj2 - he has 3 years left, but I could see a team looking for the kind of defensive flexibility he affords. Maybe a team like Dallas that has enough offense.
Why would it be sarcasm. BJOnes is trying to tell you that every team has it's down periods and this just happens to be ours. Isiah is on the right track it's just that many of us fail to see the wisdom of his moves. You just have to give it some time, wait a few years and at that point the dust should be just about ready to start to settle. Then, we can start thinking about starting to think about building a winner.
You would see this if you would just open your eyes and listen to what BJones is saying. I don't always agree with the guy, but in this case I think BJones is being 100% factorial.
Please explain the wisdom of adding Marbury.
I think the facts as they have played out here in NYC prove beyond any doubt that despite Marbury's talent, teams are better off without him.
He is now gone, and the team is more competitive. Explain.
With Marbury, we're getting blown out nightly by 20+.
Without him, we're in it till the end.
After you are down there with explaining the wisdom of trading for Marbury, and all the money it cost us and how it produced so little in terms of wins- FACE IT, ANY NBDL POINT GUARD GETTING THE MINIMUM COULD HAVE PRODUCED THE SAME WINS MARBURY DID.
After you are down trying to spin this inconvenient wisdom, move on the explaining how we traded 2 high draft picks for Curry who has regressed this year. And explain the wisdom of how this regression occurred because we added a largely duplicate piece in Zach.
Isiah had 4 years to experiment. We have the results. No further testing is required. His moves are not a path to future success.
