Please stop this torture on Knicks fans. Do something right--you haven't done one thing right since you took this team over. Find someone who has a cogent plan to rebuild this mess--the players don't like Isiah nor do the fans. This guy has been an embarassment to the city and the fans of the Knicks. Do the right thing

He'll might keep Isiah as long as the team tries every game from now on. For some bizarre reason that's the standard now, even though that makes no sense, since Isiah actually inherited a team that tried hard every game.

Are you guys forgetting that incredible streak of 5 wins in 8 games?!? How soon we forget.

Exactly. It's all about effort. That's how low the bar is being set. As long as it looks like they're actually trying, even a little bit, that's all that will matter. Evident progress will be achieved.

the greater problem is Dolan would have to admit that he made a mistake with isiah.

I don't think Dolan's super inflated ego allows him to admit to being wrong.

The knicks are his play thing, and no one is going to make him clean up his mess.

He needs to be spanked.

David Stern tried.

I don't think Chuck Dolan has it in him to do.

The NY Sports Press have tried, and he has just hardened his line against the press.

Its absurd to have to watch anything associated with this franchise.

here is why dolan needs to wake up now- at the trading deadline, you've got teams lining up to get Kidd- we could be & should be players in this- not to get kidd, but as a possible three or four way partner, and if not in a kidd deal, then we should offer up Crawford as a consolation prize.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

It's funny how some fans can go from Pre-Season projections of the team winning 45-50gms or thereabouts, to finding Solace in the team trying and playing hard for 4qrts. Let's forget the fact these guys are paid millions of dollars to be the best at their jobs in the whole wide world. The Limbo Party has started yet again this yr.

Blue: It is sad. And I find myself dragged into this same mindset. It's like a psychological mind game. They have slowly trained us into settling for 7 years now.

People are no longer looking for improvement over last year. Instead they are looking for progress over our dismal start this year. It's amazing.

Yep

Remember I SAY UGH'S Evident Progress Mandate last yr was measured not against the season he took over from Layden's last yr as GM but from LB's season. You know... the season in which the Apologists deemed it as a yr of Sabatoged Coaching. So if LB was losing and not trying to win on purpose, why was I SAY UGH even held to such a low standard? And worse yet why do we see a fan base exposed like Gold Fish being fed Guppies accepting this and using it as their on basis for future standards? We're many yrs removed from what most felt was crap. We went from Rabbit Poop to humongous piles of Elephant Dung and some find ways to digest this. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I don't hate Isiah. I think his egotism leads him to beleive that he can turn players with physical abilities but mediocre skill into superstars through coaching. His modus operandi is to acquire players with eye opening physical characteristics and/or abilities and attempt to turn them into something more. Curry and James are physically dominating in their size. Lee, Balkman and Nate are athletically gifted. The thing is, his egotism also makes him undervalue the blue collar player. Kurt Thomas is a key example. David Lee's lack of minutes is the most intriguing example. It is my opinion that he keeps on trying to make a superstar rather than build a team. But I don't hate Isiah (I do dislike Dolan). Nor am I making excuses. Instead, I hate my fellow Knicks fans who boo at the games and chant fire "__________". The fact is, I want to cheer for my team. My little league baseball team stunk. I still cheered for us to win. I didn't try and get the coach fired. (I certainly didn't pay $250 a ticket to watch my little league team stink). But, the reason NY used to be the greatest place to play was because of the fans. The fans could change the game. I think the reason big name players aren't excited to come to NY is not because of the coach, the owner, or the existing players. As a player, Isiah is likable if you aren't a former Celtic. Dolan is a crackhead, but he will make sure you get paid. And every player acknowledges that the Knicks players have ability. I beleive the reason why star players do not want to play in NY now is because of the fans. Why would Kobe, Lebron, _______ want to get booed in their hometown, their garden? Where else do fans boo their players with such reckless abandon? I wouldn't play for the Knicks, not cause I don't like Isiah, right now NY fans don't deserve a winning team. NY fans are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats. You want Lebron in 2010? Maybe its time NY decided to support its team.

Your pail was filling up with water until you poked several holes in it towards the base when you started talking about the fans.

when the team comes out, mails it in for half a season and underperforms for the third straight year in front of 19,000 fans earning top dollar they are supposed to cheer? Isiah seems to have the green light to lose for the next 70 years. As long as he puts out a team that gives a half asse effort we are supposed to shut up and be happy. this is so sad. right now the Knicks are 10-15 at home and 4-17 on the road. It ain't the fans. It's that they aren't any good.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see the hatters out in force. Why don't you all just become Celtics fans?

Dolan is doing the right thing in being patient while Isiah builds what will surely be a powerhouse in the east. Isiah has assembled an awesome group of players who will surely do some damage once they learn to play together.

The problem with NY fans is that they are impatient. Just chill out! Isiah has only had about four years to work his magic as GM, and a season and a half as coach. Rome wasn't built in a day! Just give it time. In the meanwhile, enjoy watching the players trying hard, learning to play together and learning life's lessons as they struggle to make it in the harsh lights of Broadway.

Let's not forget we're one of the youngest teams in the league once Marbury is bought out/leaves and we get rid of Rose's contract. In particular our core, which is amongst the best when compared to other young cores in the East. Other teams want our young players such as Lee and Balkman that can only be looked at as a plus not a negative, unless you're hate runs too strong. Nate is such a bright spot a guy who everyone was ready to write off, is proving the value I knew he always had. Now I would like to see Chan get some burn,..... what is coach thinking letting him rot on the bench? Shooting is a premium in this league let's see what the Kid has Q-Rich isn't giving us anything special. Sometimes I don't know what's in Zeke's head. Next yr it should be clear as we head into the season there will be a clear cut plan and we can see what we truly have. And who knows maybe some of these competitive games produce a W and these guys can build the confidence that continues to grow game by game.

If some fans here are so impatient they need to get away from this Knicks for 6-7 years and then when they will come back they will see completely different team. I will bet on it... All players will change another 3 times. And the team can be anything you can imagine or something beyond imagination... like... Bobcats... or Atlanta... or even Mini.
Patience guys, patience...
