I think mardy has the skill level to be our no.2 guard next to jamal and be the second point guard on the court (2 ball handlers).
1)he is a good & big defender(6'6 220 pounds).
2)pass first.
3)good entry pass for the bigs.
4)good rebounder.
5)he can work on his shot and be a good outside shooter(I'm willing to give him a real shot 20+ games at the starting lineup).

what do you think?

What about Isiahs play-off run
I think Mardy alone worth to drop the foolish dreams... together with Isiah of course.

I think he's a fundamentally sound player that will always struggle to score at all unless its within 3 feet of the hoop & there are no bigs around.

I think he has a chance to be that. I like his defense and rebounding. He helps with the fact that we have Jamal and Nate who are small of frame and short. He has just enough PG skills to handle the role at least partially. I think he still has upside too. I think he'll be better next season when he's fully healed and has a chance to get into top shape and develop his offensive game.

He should be healthy by now. I think he can play in the NBA, but his offense is just completely out of sorts this year. There were times last year where it looked he could score enough (even if his jumper was ugly). I'd keep him in the SL for a few more games and play him about 15-20 mins.

i think this is another example of how weak our team is overall...when you are dsicussing mardy collins being our #2 option, then you know how bad #1 is.....oh yeah, i forgot, he's got some of walt clyde frazier's game in him....Pulease - he couldnt even hold frazier's jockstrap, let alone make a jumper from more than 1 ft.

Collins has looked terrible this year, d league worthy. Very strange considering the strong finish he had last year, he provided a lot of stability and stats towards the end of the season.

He looks asleep half the time.

His size and defense is good though...until he can prove he can make a basket he should only be a situational player....

that being said.....its a good idea to start him.....then bring in the fireball nate to destroy them!

Minutes will improve his consistancy and play level, the guy can play. With Curry, Zach and Craw, we don't need another scorer. We need him to be smart and play defense.

Mardy "boo" Collins should be assigned along with Chandler to the D-league.

Mardy"boo" Collins went 1-7 , that only tells me he wasn't afraid of G-State because they don't play aggressive defense.

When they did he looked like a highschool freshman going up against the states best team = very timid ball handle.

All teams have to do is lay off him and that will automatically be a 4 on 5 game offensively.

Mardy hasn't been the same since mello hit him in the chin.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Collins is a scrub that after this year will have 1 year left collecting an NBA paycheck.

Haters! Mardy is the man. Jamal needs Mardy in the backcourt with him help him with his defensive liabilities. Once Mardy buys a shot, all will be well in Knickland.

couldn't agree with you more...this is his second year and it's obvious the stars are Zach, Curry and Crawford?

Filling in around that extremely young trio (relative to the Celtics current triplets) are:
mardy, nate, lee, jeffries, balkman

aging veterans/gone soon/trade:
qrich, marbury, malik rose, fred jones
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Mardy, is that you?

The #5 is the problem for me and it is the same problem I have with todays article about J-Jeffries. If you put players who cannot shoot onto the court, it puts added defensive pressure on those that can shoot, if any.

As an aside, it seams all of the talk of "team offense" that IT was hyping in the last two pre-seasons was based on the premise that all 5 players on the court would have the capability of hitting the open shot. That pre-requisite opens the floor to ball movement because the def has to man-up.

So far, Lee, Balk, Mardy, JJeff, Malik, Curry, and JJames are all incapable of consistently hitting an open jump shot.

Craw, Qrich, Nate, Marbs are all streaky shooters at best.

That leaves Zach Randolph, who isn't per se a great jump shooter, he is just above average for a PF.

The Knicks need to start collecting all-around players who do not have a glaring weakness in their skill set.

You know I gonna spin wit it

You gotta cut him open and count the rings.
