Everyone here must be proud to have the opportunity to win an 8th seed with 30 wins.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

You know........lol.

Picking up Zach was gonna take an adjustment period. With the Knicks obviously they have to take it to the extreme. So.....what if the Knicks finally are coming together?

8th seed could feel like a 5th seed or better......especially against another east team.

Say the Knicks do sneak into the 8th seed.........is anyone afraid of Detroit or Clevland in a 7 game series?

How freakin scary would it be if the Knicks actually make it to the finals with 30 plus wins?

We don't wanna finish 8th and play Boston. That won't be a contest. I want this team to still get a lottery pick. But i also want them to play better basketball. Losing and getting blown out every game like we were earlier in the season is the worst because it just ruins any progress and trade value.

Wow. This is called desperate for a playoff birth syndrome or DFPBS, for short.

... But there is a hope. New Hateresta drug will cure you in just 732 short weeks. Side effects are death and the condition known as runny nose. A small percentage of patients may turn into zombies or aliens, but this is rare and you should consult your doctor if these side effects occur.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Being 3.5 games out of a playoff spot is good when you're a 9th or 10th seed.

Its obsolete when you're 14th in the East.

Only 9.5 out of the 4th seed and home court advantage in the 1st round!

Over the last 10 games we're better than the bottom 8 teams in the East. If we continued that through the end of the season we would end up as the 7 seed most likely.

A one and done against a team like the C's or Detroit would not be so great a way to end the season.

The Knicks have to take it up one more notch and get to the 6 seed so that we could play Cleveland or some team that we could think about competing with and giving the team something to build on.

Being the 7th or 8th seed and getting destroyed by Boston or Detroit would be the worst case scenario for this franchise, aside from Isiah staying.

But some people will still root for and cheer for that to happen.

agreed isles, eeking out an 8th seed & finishing out of the lottery is a worst case scenario... but if it's gonna happen, then at least let's see the young guys who aren't getting any playing time get some burn & start to form some sort of chemistry w/the rest of the guys on the roster... that's not likely to happen either & that sucks... i get the feeling this team's gonna just miss out on the playoffs, end up w/a late lottery pick, & then draft a completely redundant player that makes absolutely no sense for our roster.

So mean to say 8 teams in the East even worth that Knicks.

The crappy thing is that without the whole Marbury meltdown we may have been in a good spot at this point.

.500 ball the rest of the way would probably get you the 7 seed as sad as that is.

Right now the Nets have lost 9 in a row and are only a 1/2 game out of the 8th seed.

I'm more concerned with us getting the record closer to .500 than I am about making the playoffs. Making the playoffs as an impotent 8th seed that gets slaughtered in 4 games is not progress. I'd rather get bumped out of a tough conference than back into the playoffs in a weak one.

Looking at where the Knicks are in relation to the last playoff spot, in a conference that has only 6 teams worthy of being a playoff team, is just another example of the pathetic low expectations that this organization has forced on their fans.

Some Knicks fans are foolish enough to accept this treatment and accept any little scraps that they can get. Other fans know better.

Consider me foolish! I don't know about you guys, but I became a Knicks fan in the 90s, watching Saturday games on NBA and following them in the playoffs. The Knicks were damn near synonymous with playoffs to me.

Not that I think it will happen this year, but if it did, admit it... that would be amazing. Call me Casanova 'cause I'm a Lover!

Is it better to get a draft pick -- COUGH! Frederick Weis COUGH! -- or for us to have our young heads tempered in the fires of the Playoffs... maybe even get their first playoff win? I'm looking at you, Jamal Crawford.

It ain't gonna happen. But if it fell off the family table, this doggie will be happy for the scrap.

DrAlphaeus: I hear what you are saying but I just happen to disagree with you. What would help more.

Scenario 1: Struggling all year long, winning 33 games, backing into the playoffs because the conference stinks.

Scenario 2: Coming together as a team. Winning 41 games and missing the playoffs because the competition was strong.

I personally would take a great impovement over the next 40 games that ends in disappointment, over backing in. NOw of course if we could get both, then we'd be talking.
