This is a very good game, toronto seems to struggle defensively, but they can stroke the three. I was hard on anthony parker a couple of years ago, but that cat can shoot if not anything else, he can shoot.... Same with calderon, I was hard on him, not a big fan of his still, but the kid can play.. Game going down to the wire , bosh is a hell of a player.. good atmosphere, nice flow to the game.. BTW: what the hell has happened to Bargnani?

It is fun watching two teams that can actually play..

how can you not be a fan of calderon? that kid is amazing. his assist to turnover ratio is unreal.

that kid would add 10 wins or more to the 30 games we'll win this season.

I said not a big fan... doesn't really defend. good player, just doesn't move me... average passer. he does get a lot of assists because toronto has some good shooters..

How can you not be a fan of Jose Calderon his AST/TO ratio is maddening, he runs an offense as you stated a team like the Wizards would need, he shoots a high % from beyond the arc and inside, and has great shot selection. His only weakness is defense and a ton of Top Flight point guards don't play that great of D.

BTW Nash, Chris Paul, Tony Parker, Jason Terry, Jameer Nelson don't defend. I names the starting point guards on top teams right now.

Delfino was on fire- in fact they shot something like 70 percent from the 3- I watched that game -thanks t the NBA pass preview- man-you could tell Boston was starting to get nervous. I am sure Dumars is like I traded this guy?!?

not completely true. Paul and terry defend, actually Terry was known as a defender when he first entered the league, and he defends now... nash doesn't defend well, but he is so dominant in other areas, not just good, but dominant when it comes to controlling tempo... jameer, ah, he has fallen off a bit, i don't think he has put himself on these guys level yet....

The Raptors are fun to watch , I really like Jamario Moon as a all everything guy.

But what I have noticed about them is this , they need another post presence outside of bosh.

Playoff time come those jumpshooters won't have the legs to defend and knock down shots continuosly in big series in playoffs.

Bargnani has to adjust to sam mitchell's constructive criticism as a young player and not take it the wrong way.

Bargnania is afraid if his shot isn't falling then sam is gonna yank him from the game, but sam has told him if you reb and hustle do other things you will stay on the court.

Bargnania didn't know how hard it was gonna be when the league is on to his game strengths. He picks up fouls to easily in the course of a game.

only 5 players in nba history have put up 90 ft%, 50 fg%, 40 3fg%: bird (twice), nash, dirk, reggie miller, marc price. calderon may become the 6th.

calderon runs the team and his jumper is AUTOMATIC. i remember his rookie year (the first time i really started watching the raptors), his jumper was off but i felt he had a good skillset and reminded me of a poor man's bastardized version of nash.

he is a late game assassin. the guy finds open players left and right. calderon is the real deal. he took it to jason kidd last year and outplayed him the final 3 games of that series.

tj (my favorite pg in the league) AND jose are integral to the raptors success so both will be on the team next year.

bargnani is having some growing pains b/c his role on the team is different this season. he started out in preseason and early november (with bosh hurt) like he was taking over the team. then he hurt is knee and his confidence got shook. they moved him to the center position this year, asking him to become more of a defender and rebounder. they don't really run any plays for him on offense and b/c of all these factors, he kind of has hit a speed bump. but at the end of the day, i think he's going to be fine and will be a solid starter in this league. right now, it's just a confidence issue, which has been fluctuating from game to game resulting in many games of early foul trouble. bargs man to man defense, especially in the post is actually quite good. not ok, but actually good. he is very poor tho in help defense and rotations. they are hiring a big man coach to work with him and teach him how to play center and i think he's going down to houston this summer to work with tj ford and john lucas to toughen him up.
