Amare stoudamire!

Listen, there are rumors that the suns would not mind moving amare, but they are hot for pau gasol and for the suns, that makes some sense. I ws thinking, what could we do to get in on that deal and have amare routed to NY...

I was thinking, Pau to the suns, amare to NY, now what can we give memphis. Well I would offer this. curry, balkman, morris and Fred jones expiring and I would be willing to take back one of the grizz worst contracts, even if that means taking on Brian cardinal. Now will that be enough? who knows, but curry would give them a big bull in the post do do nothing but score, memphis has a PG, they have similar players to amare with less talent of course in warrick and swift, but curry gives them a big body who can score and a reasonable contract. Balkman would be a nice defensive addition to that team, and they would lose a bad contract...

Amare would give us everything we would need in a big. plays with passion, great finisher, can pass and averages 2.2 blocks a game. he would instantly get the knicks on the road to recovery, then we could use our lottery pick on a guard..... Move zach to another team and we can play amare and lee on the front line.. ..

We have to address this frontline issue, Amare can be the guy to change this teams fortunes, he is still very young, His knees seem to be solid and he will have the chance to be the "guy" on the knicks....

Pipe dream? maybe.. but whatever..

You're best shot is if you trade Curry, David Lee, Renaldo and Nate to the Suns IMO.

We hhould have tried to trade Curry and Frye in a package for Amare a few years ago before he played his first game after the microfracture surgery. I said it then, and I still believe it now.

Amare... and THIS Knicks...
Some things just cannot sit together.
Do you think Amare is so dumb to approve this? He looks smarter than this.
If they can force him the thing they will ask in Lee. They will take Steph as next year expirable.
They will stay away from Zack, Craf, and Curry alike for sure. The do not need scoring and they do need defense.

suns want gasol. I think curry gives the grizz a different look at center, since most of their bigs are slasher types and darko can't give them the low post scoring they need..... I see no need in doing lee since balk can give memphis time at SF and PF, and we are talking back contracts like cardinal from the grizz.. suns won't do that....

for amare, it would be memphis or NY... the suns don't care, because they get what they want in gasol...

I think Memphis would view Amare as a building piece not an opportunity to dump contracts.

maybe you are right, but then why would they even consider moving Gasol? I think memphis has a lot of money in darko and gay and conley along with miller are the future of that team.. Curry's deal is reasonable, short and he gives them a post option they didn't have before.... and shedding salaries, bad salaries is every GM's wet dream, they would at least have to consider it...

I think they've tried it with Gasol and its not a reach to view Amare as a more dynamic player.

Don't bring Amare here. As soon as he gets to NY he will become a bad player, just like everyone else.

What if the knicks sent Marbury, Jones, Curry and Chander, then we took back Cardnal & D stoudimare

They get big capspace and some youngens.

I would guess the potential answer is that Memphis wants to rebuild, and doesn't want any max contract players on their squad.

I can picture them rerouting him, but I don't think we have the pieces to get them to reroute him to us.

Memphis could re-route Amare to Chicago and get back Noah and Thomas.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Why-they already have Rudy Gay, Hakim Warrick and Stromile Swift- don;t see it. Maybe for Gordon -and future draft pick/s.

we have 1 shot of trading for Amare... that is if he suffers a career threatening knee injury & we land a top 3 pick in this year's draft.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
