So far Tito looks vintage, while Roy is too busy playing games.

Anybody watching?

Roy caught tito with a hook to the temple that dropped Tito in the 7th.

In the 8th, Roy looks in contol......maybe setting the table.

Roy is now commanding this fight but Tito still has power......I just wish he would stop messing with Tito and knock him out.

Roy left it in the hands of the judges. The dude looks good.. 39yrs old? He looks good but he plays too much.

I was at the match. Garden was electric! God, it makes me remember going to Knicks games when they actually mattered.

P.S. - in the 8th round, they actually started chanting "Fire Isiah!"

With respect to Tito......why did he challenge Roy? Roy is an incredible athlete. The dude is 39 years old. He looks like he could be in his mid 20's. His hand speed is still top notch. Tito should have gotten the ring rust off first.

He has been talkin a lot man so I wonder who's next. I would think he would have another fight in maybe 4-6 months. Who?

Roy is a funny dude man. He dragged the fight out to give the people what they paid for and that's 12 rounds of skilled boxing. He keeps saying that, but he has to learn to just finishs his apponents and stop fooling around.

Btw....since he is 39.....he should do a fan vote and see what the fans wanna see.

Any ideas?

I usually buy all the fights but couldn't bring myself to buy a fight with two guys at least 8 years past their prime...That said, I went to the local bar to see it and was pleasantly surprise to see Jones fight the fight that he fought...It was competitive to a point...I can't believe Trinadad would have challenge him to begin with...Jones was cautious in the beginning but picked it up as the fight went along...I think he should retire tho, what else does he have to prove...At his first fighting weight, no one challenged him for about 10 years, that good enough for me as one of the all time greats...I didn't think he needed to go up in weight to prove anything....

Roy is probably the most talented fighter I've ever seen. HE operates on a different plane as far as speed is concerned. Roy rarely knocks anyone out b/c he usually kills everyone on points.

He has a thirst to be the hands down best pound for pound fighter ever.

He wants to be great. He wants to end speculation. More power to him.

The buzz is back.....so he's got to fight someone really good next. Who wants to fight him? Nobody has to. He is not even ranked high cuz of his lay off.

If you could see a fight......who would you pair Roy up against next?

Hopkins makes sense to me..two old guys, one last hurrah...Hopkins lost to Jones before his incredible run....Hopkins beat Tarver who beat Jones...I can't see a bigger billing for him at the moment...

They've been trying to fight for years but somehting always breaks down during negotioations. I doubt we will ever see that rematch. I could see Roy fighting Calzaghe if he gets by Hopkins.

Jones/Calzaghe would be an interesting fight. Both are unotherdox, rely on speed and Calzaghe doesnt have to power to knock Jones out, so Jones wont fight as cautious.

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

My favorite boxer out right now is Bernard Hopkins. He was robbed in at least one of the Taylor fights if not both of them. I feel he's probably the greatest fighter ever, past his prime. Hopkins also knocked out Felix closer to his prime and was the first to do it. I feel he's been the most dominate boxer across weight classes and never once in his career did he ever appear to take his time in this sport for granted, like many other great champions have, including Jones. Jones is the most talented fighter I've seen since Sugar Ray. Unlimited Arsenal in the ring. Hopkins is supposed to fight Calzaghe but if negotiations fall apart Roy said he'll fight Calzaghe over seas. The Kelly Pavlik and Tremaine Taylor rematch is due up in February. I feel the outcome of that fight determines the next line of fights.

Classic Hopkins/Calzaghe clash

Hey trueblue.......you right on the money as far as what's next in line for Roy. He almost has to fight Hopkins again. He said he would go to Calzaghes country to get the belt. That's all worth the ppv.

Pavlik vs. Taylor 2 should be nice and epic........again.

Their first fight was such a long time ago 1993 and they were both pretty raw still at the time in this sport. It very well could have been a draw. Bernard fought Glen Johnson the guy who knocked Roy the F out and fought him closer to his prime and beat the pulp out of him. Bernard has Knocked out Tito, Oscar, whooped Tarver, Winky he's just a great fighter best I've ever seen late in their career. There are rumblings De La Hoya wants to fight Mayweather again.

He puts Roy on blast here. Yes Roy was champ and had beaten him early in their careers but at this point in time circumstances were different. Hop would have fought 50/50.

i'm so glad Larry Merchant wasn't working that fight... he seems like such a pretentious & arrogant SOB... Max Kellerman is so much better.
