Well, you are getting your wish yet again. Knicks will win their 4th in a row and you'll make a topic in record time to ensure that you're good luck charm continues.

Honestly, I couldn't care less at this point. I'm more in anticipation of hopefully inevitable changes to the organization and our Knicks rather than W's and L's.

I'm not going to condemn our Knicks winning though. Just not really into it at the moment, which is a shame.

He is just on point...

I'm not so concerned about results at this point if the primary young pieces on this team continue to develop- Robinson, Crawford, Lee, Balkman etc.

If Isiah touches the legendary LB magical 6 game winning streak, we're going to have issues.

Okay, let's do some math.

Knicks = 12-26 (.315)
Nets = 18-20 (.473) = 8th seed in East.

Nets record extrapolated over 82 games = 38.78 wins = 39-43 Record.

Okay, so 39-43 record gets the Nets the 8th seed.

To overtake them, and steal the 8th seed from them, we need a 40-42 record.

More math:

12-26 to 40-42 = 28-16 record = .636 win percentage.

Teams to compare to which have a .636 or better win percentage:

Celtics .838, Pistons .744, Suns .692, Hornets Mavs Lakers .684, Spurs .676

So, to "salvage the season", we would have to be the 8th best team in the NBA over the final 44 games of the season. We have to play elite basketball something we have not done in over 10 years.

The Knicks have a 5.6% chance of making the playoffs.

They need to finish at least 24-20 to have a 0.1% chance of making the playoffs!

If they finish 28-16, as Cosmic alludes to above, they'll have a 64% chance of making it in.

Those guys odds are screwy.

Last year a 40-42 record made the Easts 8th seed (Orlando).

This year, at times both the Cavs, and presently the Nets seemingly are looking at 39 wins and the 8th seed.

Therefore 40 wins would guarantee you a nearly 100% chance of making the East's playoffs!


Presently, a team playing .315 ball, has no shot in the world at making the playoffs. 0%. Okay, we'll step that further, Knicks look a little better, lets say we play our remaing games at .500? We still have a ZERO PERCENT CHANCE at making the playoffs.

EDIT: Also, how in the hell can playing .315 ball give us a 5.6% chance of winning, BUT, going 24-20 to close out the year, raising us to what like .450 ball, only gives us a 0.1% chance? LMFAO
