Thats it!!! I am sick, we draft another othella Harrington.. Layden is a jackass, mofo without a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They could be holding that pick for someone like Boston. It's possible.

We won't know for sure until the whole thing is done.

Doubtful, you give Layden too much credit. Another year with Kurt at center, but think of the bright side, we'll be in the lottery again next year with a shot at Pavel 7'4' 300lbs!!

ok, he is not a bad pick. A bit undersized that is the only thing I do not like. He has a good work ethic though. He will be better than Othella! He will play C, not KT.

Also you need to judge the whole draft, so lets say what round 2 brings

TFK what are you saying sweetney is another othella, man he has a 7 ft wing span just like NENE did and he live at the free throw line. Half court game we need a post up game.

mike sweetney is ok, but i'm hearing a+, on the draft sweetney is stronger than oak, sweetney can play center

look for those that aint got the scruples, if the knicks stay the way they are next year they will still suck. point blank.

Go ahead and quit but word on da street is :Sweetney averaged 31.5 points and 16 rebounds against the Orangemen in 3 games.

For his career, Sweetney averaged 18.2 points and 9.2 rebounds and shot 54 percent in 96 games. Nuff said!

yea that is great playa, but remember that Syracuse does not have a NBA size front line, and look at what collison did to syracuse in that championship game also...

In the NBA he will not have 165 pound hakeem warrick to push around!!

You're overreacting tkf. With the 9th pick, considering who was still left on the board, and that we need some size, I would have been happy with Sweetney, Lampe, or Collison, in that order. And we got two of them!

Sweetney has the best NBA-ready post game of the three, and since we are unsure of Dice's future, this was the first need we had to address. Go on and call him undersized, but he's taller than Othella and Clarence, and only an inch shorter than Dice and CWebb. I'm not concerned with his height and neither should we: we should be more concerned with how his low post college game translates at the NBA level. And at this point, it could go either way: he could dominate or disapoint. But that's not much better than Collison anyways, is it?

This was the best draft the Knicks have had in years.

Anybody who thinks Collison will perform adequately in the west doesn't know basketball. He reminds me of Mark Randall former jayhawk. Size with fundamentals gets you drafted but unless you got what it takes to take on big body strong NBA players you will be compared to Danny ferry etc...
