The plot has been written, all that's left is for the ink to dry... after what seems like decades of discussion and rumors... I have little doubt, the Knicks will finally pull the trigger and trade Latrell Sprewell... where and for whom, I have no idea. However, it is time "the architect" finally makes up his mind. That he make a "decision". After all, he may be fighting for his job and even he realizes he has to do something. As Chaney said in this mornings article in the Post... Latrell is brought up constantly because he's a good player and we need to get better... having many holes. (we know... we know)... so get ready to say goodbye to Latrell, Warrior to some, scapegoat to others... you had a nice run Spree... ain't your fault... and you're better off outta here...

All that's left for Knicks fans, is to see whether it's Keith Van Horn (behind door #1) or some other stiff or combination thereof... If it somehow translates into a Jerome WIlliams and Bosh, I'll be happy... I'm not holding my breath.

My biggest nightmare is Walker behind door number 1 and KVH behind door number 2 and those are the only doors.

Pike, it is funny how the league has changed, that at 27 you are over the hill and at 32-35 you are just done.... I mean spree at 32 is still playing great ball, probably some of the most complete ball of his career. Yet some fools( like playa) want him gone!! I hope spree goes somewhere and wins 2 rings. He deserves it, he deserves better than the knicks.....

I just hope Spree ends up somewhere where he can play his natural SG slot. He's been an adequate SF, but people tend to forget that's not his position. They compare him to other SFs, who usually have 3 to 4 inches on the guy and somewhere between 20 and 40lbs.

Spree, The New Ewing... Just hope he gets out before it's too late, the way it was for Patrick.
My biggest nightmare is Walker behind door number 1 and KVH behind door number 2 and those are the only doors.
Careful, there. We could find a magical door number 3 with the likes of Shawn Bradley behind it. I'm already resigned to the idea of having Walker or KVH here. Between those two, I'm hoping it's Walker. KVH is a waste of bball skills and size.

Why do some of you(TKF- PIKE) LIKE TO MAKE IT PERSONAL FOR SOME PLAYERS LIKE "MEWELL". I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT HE NEEDS, OR WHAT HE DESERVES , THE GUY SERVED HIS PURPOSE WITH THE KNICKS HE'S DONE!rIGHT NOW I WOULD TRADE HIM FOR EVEN KVH STRAIGHT UP IF I HAD TO JUST TO GET RID OF HIM.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Spree is my favorite player on the Knicks, but if he were traded for something that improves the team (NOT Keith Van Horn), so be it.

My concern is that LayDUMB will trade him for the equivalent of a corndog and a can of Sprite.

If NY wants to start digging itself out of the hole they've dug themselves into, they should shop Housless. His value has NEVER been higher and someone may be suckered into taking him. On the right team, he could be a lethal weapon. He's just not suited to be the Main Man on any team.

funny how idiots talk, idiots say
Why do some of you(TKF- PIKE) LIKE TO MAKE IT PERSONAL FOR SOME PLAYERS LIKE "MEWELL

Then turn around and say [quote] [NOW I WOULD TRADE HIM FOR EVEN KVH STRAIGHT UP IF I HAD TO JUST TO GET RID OF HIM./quote]

isn't that being personal.

i wouldn't trade any player for a worst player "JUST TO GET RID OF HIM"

KNICKS SHOULD BE PROFESSIONAL AND GET THE BEST PLAYERS AAVAIALABLE, AND NOT GET A PLAYER WITH LESS SKILLS JUST TO BE PERSONAL.

spree has played well since he has been a knick and done as much as he could with the talent around him.

Spree should get us the best deal possible, like I said earlier, teams looking for VET experience can appreciate the improvement Spree will bring to their team.

Rebuilding is always easier said then done: Suns, Denver, Wizards, Memphis/Vancouver and Detroit have traded their most popular players for the sake of trying to improve their position. Now its NY's time to make that move.

spree is in no way still playing great ball.. the last two seasons he has been a nonfactor, maybe having a good game once every 6-8 games which is just not enough. and i'm sure i'm exaggerating that 6-8 also, it was probably far less.

Spree is VERY smart... and he watched how Laydern ruined this team and to some extent... his career in the process. He still hung in there as the BEST Knick.

how was he the best knick? i'd say, after ewing left, LJ and camby were the best knicks. then since LJ left, (last 2 seasons) spree has done nothing.

JAYDH, yes those were my favorite players LJ, CAMBY and Houston, They did what alot of what the other knicks couldn't do. Houston could demoralize a team with his pin point shooting touch. LJ would post up at 6'5 and make guys pay and then bounce outside and hit a big three to send a team home. And Camby would run the floor and finsh a break at 6"11 then play the best help defense before Ben Wallace came along. Getty-up

The one move that would redeem Layden if he could somehow pull it off it to get Rasheed Wallace for whatever they're willing to take for him... May the 9th and a 2nd rounder + Spree... not sure if that works cap wise.. but THAT.. would be a great trade...

Just to add to my previous post...
Blazers shouldl realize by now there is no way in HELL they are getting past Sacramento, LA, Dallas, or SA with their current roster... I would look for them to pull A lot of trades before they're expiring contracts just end up siging somewhere else without anything in return... a few sign and trades and they could reload nicely.. they have a lot of players other teams would like to have...

Personally I would love to see Sheed in an NY uniform but I dont see it happening. They can get more for him then Spree and #9 - he is a talent, who cares if he is a head case, he helps win games.
