Ok, back when we had a prediction how long Isiah would last. I'm too lazy to look for it without a search. Assuming the Knicks continue to play at the same win percentage, when is it going to be?

There's no way he gets fired before the end of the year.

And even then, if they finish the year playing .500 ball over the last 4 games, Dolan will probably think that he deserves another year or maybe even another extension.

i'll say End of Year... but who the hell knows... if the Knicks finish the season on a 2 game winning streak, Dolan could deem that as clear & significant progress & offer Isiah yet another contract extension.

the players can see to it that Isiah gets fired, but those clowns will win enough games to present the scenario you just posted...

The way Isiah is talking he probably will be around for at least one more year. Dolan is still making money. Isiah probably sold the dream to Dolan that he needs to rebuild again with no big contracts just through the draft. Time and time again we watch new gms go to different organizations. It is clear that Dolan at least wants to give Isiah to the end of the year or more. Isiah probably told Dolan that in this draft with the number one pick he will bring Dolan the next big thing.

Dolan sees people still attending games and thinks that fans will come regardless so why pay Isiah millions for not being here to steer what he's built.

It won't be until next year when attendance really takes a hit and Dolan sees the damage that Isiah has done on his bottom line (this year most of the tickets were sold before the bottom completely fell out). That's when Dolan will realize that he needs to make a move. So unfortunately, and unbelievably, Isiah will be getting another year after this one.

I firmly believe that absolutely nothing that happens on the court will decide Isiah's fate. It will be strictly a business decision.

We all saw last year how Dolan was looking for any positive on the court to give Isiah his extension. Now during one of the most embarrassing years in NBA history, Dolan has refused to do or say anything. Would it surprise anybody if Dolan makes his first public comments after the first positive stretch of the season, assuming they have one?

That'll be when you know for sure that Isiah has been given a Glen Sather type lifetime contract and it's time to find a new team.

Man, if Jimmy knows right now that he plans to get rid of this guy "gracefully" at the end of the year, why even give him the trading deadline to work with? Do it now!!! Trading deadlines, summer drafts, etc... These are the only events that matter anymore for us. He cannot still be here to oversee matters through the Feb. deadline - God forbid he does something stupid that further sets us back...

I don't believe he will be fired before the end of the year. Even then, might be a stretch. Isiah has Dolan on a string right now, for whatever reason, Isiah seems to be able to convince Dolan of anything. I think until people stop buying tickets (which won't happen until next year), then Isiah will keep grinning until then.

Isiah is no Sather. He is not the type of a guy to sit idle in the corner and quietly get his money.
He cannot live without spotlights and public attention. So he cannot have the Sather's fate.
He will move up (unlikely) or will go down in flames. It is just matter of time.

Here's the problem, isles. Isiah will pull off another starphuck in the offseason to generate enough interest to get people to buy tickets again next year. Then we'll be hearing from nixluva and oohah how they can't see how bringing in (insert redundant talent starphuck name here) could not work.

NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.
