I'd like to remind everyone that Isiah is on pace to break Larry Brown's record of loses for this team. At this point he's projected to win only 20 games for a record of 20-62 with 50 games left! We also have to win two more games, so not to set the NBA record of 9 wins, held by Philly.

I think Dolan's waiting for the proof, before he fires him. I still think Al Sharpton said something to Dolan, especially after the Anucha fiasco. And what happened with Brown, how he ended up getting paid millions for his broken contract. Things that scared Dolan, for fear of being sued again. I think Dolan is giving Isiah every possible chance and not saying a word about it, just so everyone can see who is at fault for this teams poor performance. So no one can say that Dolan didn't give him a chance, because we all know he's had all the chances in the world. That is my gut feeling on this situation.
I'll never trust this' team again.

hahaha... Al Sharpton?

Listen my boy... Dolan is not gonna make moves primarily because he is too stubborn! Pressure from other people can not, and will not move him to Fire Zeke. If David Stern can't, and his dad won't.. who will? Nobody!

His attitude is simple.. This is my team, I am the HNIC! Nobody is gonna tell me how to operate my business. In some respects, I Can't say that I blame him. But as a Knick fan, who is hoping for POSITIVE change.. and moves to resurrect this half dead franchise.. I can only hope to get somebody in the fold who has a high basketball IQ and a Strong business sense. Somebody who is proven as a GM, like Jerry Colangelo. A coach like, Paul Westphal, would be a start.

Again, it's wishful thinking.. because Colangelo would want full autonomy... I echo my earlier sentiment... Dolan, is not trying to relinquish his product.. and put it in the hands of another. That's our reality! We'd have to hope, that Charles Dolan... says to his son look you are embarassing our family name... we have to stop being the bud of a long running joke! I'm taking over!

I'd also like to point out there is an outside chance Isiah might break Larry's record of different starting lineups. That's saying something because Larry started players based upon playing in their hometown.

There was a Times article that came out a few weeks back about Spike Lee, Chris Rock, and Al Sharpton saying they thought Isiah should keep his job. I do think there is some politicking going on right now, but ultimately the reason he ahsn't been canned yet is pride. Dolan is prideful to admit he was conned into choosing Isiah over HOF coaches Lenny Wilkins and Larry Brown. Dolan ate millions upon millions of dollars by siding with Isiah and I didn't think Dolan has the balls to admit to himself that he made some stupid, stupid decisions.

There's an Albert Einstein quote that goes something like "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." Isiah has burned the franchise to the ground and Dolan keeps going with him, expecting the franchise to turn into the Patriots of the NBA. I like calling Dolan an idiot, but insane is probably more appropriate.

Jay, your talking about things on the floor, things we all already know about. I was bringing up a scenario as to why this strange thing with Dolan has been going on, in light of things that have been happening inside and outside the building. I bring up Sharp because it was something I was reading about, where he got involved with what was going on. Let's be real here. Whenever a high profile black person is in trouble, you will find Sharp on the side there, making sure nothings out of order. It's his right and that's what he does. We all know that.

Now I DON'T want to turn this into a black-white thing, but it isn't impossible of what I said. Regardless of what or who it may be, Dolan is afraid in my opinion. I mean the guy got sued for a total of what' about 40 million dollars from the Anucha and Brown incidents alone. He's lost multi millions in bad player deals. You'd be afraid too if it where your money.

Ok, I see that you are not up on the latest coloquialisms.. So please allow me to declaim in an elocutionary manner, "My Boy/My dude" is the equivolent for "Friend" or "Pal, buddy.. if you are old school.

I'm assuming that by you referencing my number of "posts-- now 33";
you are attempting to point out your "seniority".

Listen Pop, It's not meant to be disrespectful... you can take it how you wanna, but I'm telling you what it is! Besides there are too many other things that I could say if I wanted to get at you, like " Ya name looks like a Zip Code or sumthin stupid like that. lol

Pump ya breaks.. u dig, hahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Jay, your talking about things on the floor,

[Edited by - 4949 on 01-06-2008 4:39 PM]

Now back to the topic at hand....

Shouldn't this be the MAJOR thing I'm concerned with as a fan... The team's performance; the sole reason I watch as a fan is to see a great product on the floor. This is a game, Would anybody truly care about the Anucha scandal, if we were winning?

The only way I should really be subjected to such political happenings of this organization is when it does indeed effect the product on the floor! That's why, I stay in tune.

But C'mon, this isn't something that fans should have to follow! Why do you think teams like the Jailblazers of old and or Sin-cinati Bengals have tried to reshape there identities; and convert the negative attention that they received into a highly entertaining sports performance? (Pardon the run-on grammer students) Because they recognize that the value is in pleasing their fans and avoiding the stigmas associated with their teams. Winning is the ultimate cover-up.

This is what makes us the laughing stock of the NBA, Our internal issues have been exposed, and our team stinks! Moreover, the NYK fans are now being drawn in... And for what? Just so we can say we know what is going on? You gotta be kidding me!

I can agree, that these situations likely play a part in Dolan's thinking. Of course, facing the prospect of losing additional millions would alter his thought process. However, the overall reason for him not lending to Isiah's departure is likely based on stubornness.

I think Supreme echoed this idea as well.
I do think there is some politicking going on right now, but ultimately the reason he ahsn't been canned yet is pride.

4949, I'll end by saying I understand your point but it just shouldn't be the primary focus as fans... I know it's not for me!

Snorting garbage trucks full of cocaine (to combat the feeling of being a hopeless moron) is the likely explanation of his weirdness.
