The project Beasley #1, derrick rose #2, deandre jordan #3 ahead of eric gordon with donte greene #5, and jerryd bayless#6 taken next.

They got "name guys" OJ Mayo going #10,
Roy hibbert #12,
Chase budinger #11.......

If the draft went like this......would you be satisfied with eric gordon as our present for this headache of a season?

No because Eric Gordon = Ben Gordon and I do not want Ben Gordon on the Knicks with the #4 pick. We can get someone better. I say trade down gain assets and draft Budinger.

That's my exact feelings on this.

What happened OJ Mayo @ #1? Is this guy really #10? I saw him live and he just seemed like he was on the wrong team. He has dope pro-style moves. He was benched early in the seaosn....attitude? If Isiah is here I think he would be tempted to bring in OJ mayo @ #4. His name is pretty powerful and would grab the intrest of garden fans. Not saying that is what I would do but if eric Gordon is who the knicks pick #4 then trading down for Chase or Mayo would be an option.

Derrick Rose!

That's what you see now but wait till the end of the season when the knicks ends up with only 20 wins and hopefully grab one of the 1st 3 picks of the 2008 draft.

Eny.. visit http://www.draftexpress.com it's a much better draft website.

Anyways.. no I don't want Eric Gordon, as Cookdcokehop has already mentioned, he's a Ben Gordon clone, which he's probably right. Gordon is only 6'3 and this day in age, you don't want a 6'3 SG on your team. I'm done with combo guards.

As I've stated many times before, the guy I want is Derrick Rose, but at this point, the Knicks just have to take Best Player Available no matter what position it is. We need someone to build around. I personally hope that building process starts with Derrick Rose, but we'll see.

While I really want Derrick Rose, I believe Michael Beasley might be the most talented guy in the whole draft (if he comes out.) He might be more of a franchise talent and at this point, the Knicks need guys like that.

You hope to get derrick rose and it looks like the Knicks may suck that bad to get him,.....but the knicks have this dark cloud of bad luck over them.....with all the ping pong balls they would probably get #13!

From what I've read about Derrick Rose he might be exactly what this team needs...

Supposedly one of his flaws is that he can be too unselfish at times.

Am I crazy to be worried that any young player coming into this situation has no chance of growing?

Can you imagine Steph showing Rose the ropes?

Based on what I've read about him, if the Knicks get the 4th pick or later I would want Danilo Gallinari

The most critical position we all know to start with is pg and center in the NBA. Right now, Derrick Rose would be the perfect franchise player for this organization for the next 12 yrs.

HAve anyone seen this guy play? He's like a Jason Kidd with a nice jump shot. Big guard that rebounds and defends. Nifty passes with great court vision. I love this kid!

Knicks should start with him and work their way in building a championship team..

Other than perhaps Beasley, OJ Mayo may be the one player that is the most ready to make an impact in the NBA. If you watch him, his game is tailor made for the pros. He can create for himself and others.

Problem with Mayo is he's about 6'5 195 (similar build to Craw but more athletic than Craw). But he's still young may have a chance to put on more muscle.

Rose, Beasley and Jordan are my top three for the Knicks. If they are gone when the Knicks pick, I'd take Mayo.

Note: Knicks are currently 3rd. Griz beat the Pacers the other night.

Danilo who??? The only players I think the Knicks should draft are Beasley or Rose. If not trade down and get Hibbert or Buddinger. OJ Mayo is THE EXACT SAME PLAYER AS STEPHON MARBURY. I am tired of players with bad attitudes. Please do not buy into his hype. I heard Beasley has moments were he goes through it emotionally and if this is the case I might not want him either no matter how good he is. I am done taking risk with players.. Let's do it right this time. I would love to build this team around Rose, Lee, and Chandler.

wow. that may either end up being a brilliant tony parker-manu type pick..or an absolute disaster.

i haven't heard anything about the guy and prefer we take a can't miss guy inthe top 5 but i'll check this kid out now..

Anyone blown away by this?

I'm a huge Hoya fan but I have to admit, I think Hibbert is a bit of a stiff. Good passer for his size and understands the game, but for hi size, he isn't a great defender/shotblocker and at times he labors up and down the court. I'd take Thabeet over Hibbert. More upside in favor of Thabeet.

I don't think there is one guy following basketball and love the Knicks that doesn't want Derrick Rose.

Knicks are gonna need some devine intervention to get this kid.

I dunno man. Mayo worries me man, he reminds me alot of Marbury both in his game and his attitude. No doubt about his talent and his ability, he's definitely the top of the class in that aspect, but you wonder if he really knows how to play TEAM basketball, which is something this team hasn't done in years and somethings this team NEEDS to do going forward. Honestly, I'd rather let someone else take the chance on him.

We need players who can play team basketball. I think Rose, Beasley, Gordon can play team basketball, but I don't want Gordon, too small. I'd go Rose or Beasley, no doubt.

I might shed a tear if Derrick Rose becomes a Knick, but knowing Zeke he might find some way to **** it up for this franchise.

It's a much WORSE website. It looks better but they keep promoting the guys they were promoting from the beginning. I mean, they had OJ Mayo number one overall Christmas time (are you kidding me), who was their preseason number one. Whereas nbadraft.net had Mayo one for a bit, then went to Rose with Mayo two. It's like they couldn't admit nbadraft.net was right. If you compare each site's final mock to the actual results of the draft, nbadraft.net DOMINATES. It isn't even close.

Look at the best/worst case scenarios on DX for Mayo. Best case: Wade, worst case: Willie Green. Oh, gee, wow, that was insightful. ON one hand he'll be a legit superstar, on the other hand he'll be out of the league shortly after his rookie deal. His game clearly resembles very little about Wade too.

I see a team with the 6-13 pick getting lucky and Mayo will fall to them, much like Caron Butler fell for no good reason despite similar polish. I think this is a case with a bunch of players emerging and Mayo being coached by TIM FLOYD (the bum that coached the Bulls)!!! Mayo went there because he wanted to put USC on themap like Conley and Oden did with OSU. He should have went to Arizona and got polished by Lute Olsen's program. I know he's on leave now, but no one knew that was going to happen... and that program keeps churning out elite SG and SF, which is a big reason Budinger gets his love.

Anyway: nbadraft.net >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DX

If the Knicks don't get into the top 3 we shouldn't sleep on Chase Budinger. Very good athlete and a versatile player.

I want to see how Mayo matures over the course of the year. I think Rose and Mayo need at least a couple years of seasoning on the college level before they come to the NBA. It really hurts these PG's to come out early because a lot of them haven't learned how to really run a team b/c they've been the man for so long. No doubt they have the talent, but they need more seasoning. Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Ray Felton if I'm not mistaken all played 3 years, played with talented teammates and went to the tournament. They really learned how to run a championship team.

Contrast that with guys like Will Avery, Telfair...even Marbury who has been uber talented has never been the PG he should've been considering his innate talents and physical ability.
