Isiah doesn't care about job security, he all ready lost the Harrassment case , his star pg has dirt on him his franchise center can't get off the bench and start.

Isiah is going to use his "used carsalesman" technique and wants to win the fans support by getting the #1 pick in the upcoming draft.

LB was trying to do that for the knicks and got fired for it, remember he got tim duncan for the spurs by getting the #1 pick overall.

Going for the top pick is all fine and dandy but what about respect? Losing everynight by 20? I don't mind losing if the guys on the court look like they are getting better. The guys are just getting worse and worse with high priced talent that should be @ least running in the middle of the pack.

Oh yeah.......is Mike Beasley Pat Ewing? Is he even kevin durant? What do the Knicks do if they have bad luck like atlanta and boston in the draft? Is OJ Mayo or any of the other tweeners good enough to build on? Is getting derrick rose alone worth it? What if the Knicks luck out and are stuck with picking a donte greene or chase budinger

You guys forget this is NYC lights, broadway the show must go on.

Isiah's mandate is held by dolemite, all he wants is entertainment with expectation to grab the spotlight. Getting the #1 pick overall would be a soothing to NY fnas this summer not this winter with more false expectation by the used carsalesman Isiah.

What if we trade the pick and another player for a proven team playing stud who wants out from his team like Gasol.

Until Zeke is removed this is all we have to look forward to.

You're giving Isiah Thomas too much credit. He's not that smart. He's really actually trying to win. Too bad he's assembled the worst team in the league.

And honestly, let's say we get lucky and get that first pick and draft Derrick Rose. I do not want our prized Rookie to be poisoned by Thomas.

Isiah will trade the #1 pick for a proven guy like camby as denver might move AI after this season.

Exactly.

Isiah Thomas needs to go. But I'd keep him the rest of the season. It guarantees a 20-25 win season. If they fired Thomas and brought in Herb Williams or someone else, there is a chance these losers could go on a fluke win streak and win 5 more games and damage our draft positioning. Keep Thomas, let him suffer the entire season. Maybe with all the boos he goes deaf.

And with the first pick in the NBA draft the New York Knicks select Derrick Rose, Point-Guard, Memphis.

I have to agree. Saying we're purposely losing to get the pick is silly and it is a sad attempt to excuse the team. What "tankers" are saying is that this is actually the playoff bound 40+ win team they always said it was but we're purposely losing so we can try to get a top draft pick.

That's bullcrap...... this team is every bit the loser you see before you.

Zach Randolph took a potential 38 to 41 win team and destroyed it.

Papabear has it right: Rewind: No Zach trade. Waive Francis. Start Lee next to Curry. Change nothing else......and we probably do win 38 or more this year if healthy.

Instead? It all died with the Zach trade. Now everyone sucks. Marbury going crazy also didn't help matters.

Now it's truly done. This team can not and will not get out of a 13 games below .500 hole. Not going to happen. No trade will make it happen.

FIRE ISIAH, and ship his trash out of town and then rebuild properly. It's the only course of action.

It's very well possible that the players know marbury's li secret on isiah and don't want to win for the guy and want him gone, even though he got quite a few of them big money.

The Poll isiah gave the players about marbury playing again on the west coast trip set it off.

Can we get a LB candid interview from somebody ?

BS. Isiah's trying to win games. BTW, we didn't own our own pick win LB was here. It belonged to Chicago.

The problem with that was we didn't have our draft pick that yr. The Bulls owned our draft pick that yr. So how do you tank a season when you have to give your draft pick to another team?

Isiah Thomas definatly doesn't care if he gets fired at this point. He still collects his money. So he is going to continue to be clueless on the sideline while he collects his paychecks.

There is no Patrick Ewing Lebron James Shaq etc.. in this draft imho. I think you can get a very good player but I would give up the pick up to get Isiah out to be honest with you. It's more important that we subtract Isiah and bring in the right guy than drafting someone. I think by firing Isiah alone and dumping the front office[like Bill Parcells did today] would bring more hope than any draft pick from 2008. I mean there is a process here of removing almost every player--attempting to increase player value--that goes so far beyond 1 draft pick. If I had to vote which team is farthest from a championship--it would have to be the Knicks. Atleast Minnesota has Al Jefferson and Seattle has K Durant. We honestly have no one to build around. Not 1 player. We have pieces that if reclimated can be PART of a program --but again we are so far off from that. We really need a process of 3-4 years worth of lottery picks--good use of the MLE and shedding/ridding ourselves of bad salaries.

we have our own 2008 and 2009 and no pick in 2010.

we have to hit home runs over the next 2 drafts or else we're out of the game until 2011.

I'm really excited to hear all about how Isiah is going to be building around the #5 pick of next years draft.

Stephon Marbury
Channing Frye, Nate Robinson and David Lee
Larry Brown
Eddy Curry
Zach Randolph
2008 First Round pick

So many cornerstones, so many excuses, so few wins.

If we got Derrick Rose, that would solve our biggest problem (lack of strong leadership from the PG position). At this point, IT needs to start playing Chandler, Collins, and Balkman. Morris is going to be a free agent, so hiding him on the bench might not be a bad idea, but there is no reason Chandler, Collins, and Balkman should not be getting burn. Additionally, he needs to see if Nate can really be an NBA pg. Nate should be getting at least 15 mins a game at the pg position to see what he can do. The same goes for Crawford. If we are going to lose, we might as well develop our young players and determine what we have on this team in terms of players who might be salvageable.
