Balkman is what he is and we all love him.......but what a terrible draft that was looking back.

Knicks draft balkman then sign his retarded cousin Jared. Then go ahead and draft Wilson Chandler this year. Wtf?

Ok so back tracking.....marcus williams was available and so was josh boone who both went to the nets...........rewind back in time and the Knicks were carrying too many point guards so they didn't go with Marcus, yet go for collins who isn't even a true point guard.

Boone is a beast around the rim and knows what it is to bang inside. He worked his way to being the nets starting center this year. How good would he be now next to zach?

Yet who knows if the knicks woulda even traded for Zach if they had drafted Boone?

Anyway.....Knicks may already have a Boone in Randolph Morris......

Well......how ill would it be it at this time where Marbs looks to be all but broken mentally and physically, to have Marcus Williams coming off injury to suplant himself for the next 6-7 years as the starting point guard of the knicks?

Right now? Balkman can't get off the bench and is trade fodder at this point. Collins might not even be in the league in 2-3 years! Chandler is below both of them on the todem pole with Randolph Morris below them all!

Crazy......

Questions going forward reguarding our young guys? what is the point of getting them and keeping them for that matter? How do these guys actually help a roster with so many high priced guys in front? How do they even move up eventually? How do they even fit if they could?

balkman is a straight up scrub.

The Knicks have had chances to draft numerous good young point guards but settled on the immortal Mardy Collins.

It's always' been David Lee and he's been abused since he started to show signs of actually playing basketball last year. I wouldn't blame him if he wanted out. As a matter of fact, anywhere he wants to go, I'll help him out.
I'll never trust this' team again.

What does anyone expect? Remember, these guys where picked late. You'd be lucky to find anyone good there. That just reminds me of the two higher drafts we gave the bulls, who just kicked our asses 'again'!

Who knows. I can't evaluate anyone on the Knicks fairly at this point. This whole situation is FUBAR. Most of the guys gave up weeks ago.

Isiah has turned borderline solid bench guys into trash because he has sat them so long.

Good goin' Isiah! 8-21 and counting but OH lets not play Balkman or Mardy for 25 games and then think *wow they sucked tonight* and not play them for the next 25 games again..........

What an idiot.

Not that either of these two would lead to some monumental change in record - BUT - both played hard, played the right way, and laid it all on the line when they did play. Now they STINK because they are so RUSTY from sitting so long!

What a disgrace Isiah Thomas is.......and any coach who sits young kids for hack veterans who "give them the best chance to win". HELLOOOOOOOOO!!! ANYBODYYYYYYY HOME!?!!?!? It's 8-21 KNOCKING!!!!!!!!! Hello!?

You should look at some of the players available in 06 (Balkman draft)-

Rondo, Williams, Boone, Lowry, Shannon Brown, Farmar, Daniel Gibson, Paul Millsap, Craig Smith.

In 05 After the #21 pick, where PHX drafted for us-

Jarrett Jack, Francisco Garcia, Jason Maxiell, Johan Petro, Kleiza, Monta Ellis, Louis Williams, Blatche

so long story short? We have just totally wasted the last 3-4 years. Only player the Knicks have to show is David Lee. Zach, nate, jones, and craw are good also but they just aren't on the right teams.
We have hit rock bottom so hard that it cracked......we are now stuck in the crack of rock bottom!

If you have to make things up to have a point, did you ever really have a point?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I would love to have Josh Boone. Marcus Williams will get beat out for playing time by Darrel Armstrong just like he got beat out by Eddie House last year.

Doesn't matter. The fans and media would depress them all and they'd fall apart.

Balkman IMO seems to be that type of player that would be very effective if the team is good, sorta like he needs a reason to go all out.
some Knick fans accept mediocrity as excellence .... I don't!

he's lucky he was drafted in the first place, isiah made him a millionaire, and he's just playing horse with the ball boy. you think this guy cares about his craft?

i think balkman cares. he was arguably the best player in all of vegas SL last year (including all the first rounders from last year and what not), i think the key thing to remember is EVERYBODY on this team has quit. if balkman was in the right situation, he'd be a solid role player.

how would you feel if you were balkman and Q still played 30 mpg and you got 15 min one night and a DNP-CD the next? you'd probably not give a damn either

You guys turn pretty quick. Remember the game at the beginning of the year that Balk helped almost singlehandedly with his D? He is still a a guy who can be a great energy defender, but guys, you have to realize that the entire team quit a month ago at least. Everyone's gonna look like **** from here on in and the next GM's tough job is too seperate the talent from the crap. Useless to make any evaluations about the team in its current state IMO. Everyone's gone into sleep mode untill Isiah is gone.
