The knicks rarely bring me joy anymore. When they win, I'm happy, but its a fleeting, unfulfilling kind of happiness. I now know what its like to love someone addicted to drugs. Even on their good days, you cant trust them, because youve been burnt too many times. I felt this way once before during the LB season. This time, I have really lost alot of love for this team. Isiah, Dolan, Marbury, Quentin, Curry, I need them out of my life. Like yesterday. THe other players arent perfect, but those guys, theyve gotta go.

Dolan is the living embodiment of the argument against nepotism. What a spectacular failure the knicks are. Dolan, you decide not to settle out of court to spare your organization the bad publicity, thinking youd save yourself some money. What did you get? Emberassment, you lost the case, and you still costed yourself a ridiculous amount of money. It doesn't make her right, it just makes you really really stupid.

I hate the knicks. I hate them for making me hate them. They may win me back, when my kids are college aged, but it will never be the same. I have joined the dark side.

I'd kill myself if I had season tickets.

I feel you.

But I gave up midway through the Brown season in 2005.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I did not expect them to make the playoffs this year or previous years, but this is ridiculous. I the Knicks could have at least win 35 to 37 games this year. Right now they look like they will get 20 games. Isiah might be tanking it in at this point.

You're nothing but a stupid hater.

Welcome to the Dark Side Killa.

I know how hard it is to hate something that you used to love and have to turn your back on them but you're doing the right thing. You're doing the right thing. It's the only way.

I took a quick look at historical stats for point differential - and with a point differential of around -7 (where it is now), you're looking a win total in the mid 20's.

I've got to clean up the data a bit, but I plan to post it here....

I'm in the same situation bro. I CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE. I don't DVR Knick games, I don't check the box scores, I don't update my fantasy basketball teams, don't argue back with Net fans, I don't do anything related to the NBA because it reminds me of the pathetic Knicks. Life sucks.

What's weird is I usually want my team to lose only IF the season IS lost and they have a good shot at a draft pick. And it is hard to do, don't get me wrong. However, I feel it has to be done.

But with this team, while I expect nothing from them and sometimes just laugh at them, I find myself screaming if they are close to a comeback and can't pull it off. It's insane.

I won't get mad if they lose because change IS needed. But if it's 93-92 and nate has a chance to win it, if he gets it in I can't be upset.

And I'm the WORST as a met fan and was basically praying for losses in 2002, so I would never hate on a guy that roots for the needed demise. But, go figure, for this team I just find myself falling for the trap like shmoeburg.

I guess it's better to figure this out late than never figuring it out at all.

I agree. It's ok for a team to lose. But make sure that you gain something from each losing experience. Have a plan in place and stick to it at all times.

I don't think the Knicks have quit. I just think that the roster isn't that good. Isiah somehow managed to create a 90 million dollar lottery team. Don't ask how.

I just think it's funny that all the people that called me a hater, nets fan, curse words, racist (for like Lee and Balkman,) everything else, are now doing the same thing I was doing, which is be pissed off at the way this team is run and the players that are playing. Yet, not one has even come close to manning up. Sweet.

Does it really matter man? I mean, you guys are Knick fans so we all wanted the same thing all along. Its not hard to admit I was wrong about Isiah to Knick fans. Its really hard to admit this to Net fans who will not let it go. They interpret this as 'Knick fans are ****ty fans cause they cheer on a ****ty team.' Now thats hard to deal with.

in terms of manning up - when Dolan announced Isiah, I groaned- because he had really done nothing. However, since then, I've learned rather than having done nothing anywhere he's been, he really ruined things.

I was pleased with the Marbury deal at the time it was done. I was pleased with Lenny Wilkens- but since then, I don't think he's really made any good moves besides a few draft picks - Ariza, Lee, Balkman, Nate.

He's simply ruined the knicks. They are worse off than when he started. If you could go back in time, and run the last four years over again with a different GM - even a schmuck from UK- I think the team would be in a very different position. The W/L might be worse, but I'm sure there would be salary flexibility & youth acquired through the draft.

Silver, would you appreciate being called a "Nets fan", a hater and every other name in the book, just because you've come to the same conclusion that others had come to years ago?

Why is it that it's only ok now to feel the way some of us have felt for years? Just because they think it's blatantly obvious now, so it was ok that they once ridiculed the same people that they now agree with?

Dealing with hypocrites who are at a point now, where they used to ridicule others for being, and pretending that nothing happened instead of manning up is what's hard to deal with. Don't act like this just suddenly happened and we haven't been on this road for years now.

Come on man, I am not trying to take anything away from your plight. You are really brave and called it a long time ago and went through a lot on this forum. Its just that the grief of the Knicks sucking is larger than the grief of me being wrong.

I disagree. People were attacked on a daily basis on this site for holding these views. Now it's just their time to question the hypocracy. I don't think it's unfair for guys like Isles to ask for an apology or an explanation at least.
