Do you have a link as to what he did?
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

Just think, we could have had Ariza, Bynum and Farmar in our starting lineup. Not that it would matter anyway because Isiah would still find a way to surround them with sh!t, and Bynum would have been the one shipped off to Portland for Randolph. At least we don't have to suffer through that pain.

I always liked that kid, when he was with us he'd posterized a few ppl Ben Wallace included. I'm not sure how much he has improved but at that time of the trade i dont think that many of us were as high on him as when we first drafted him. His shooting form was stiff and never improved much and he still liked to dribble with his head down.

i wonder why Orlando could not find a role for him.. maybe it is because orlando needs shooters around Howard and we all know ariza is a brick mason.. anyway, good move for the lakers.. he fits that sytle more..

well he hit 3 jump shots today and attempted 3 threes, his shooting form is better, and his handle has definitely improved...he isnt as delusional as were once led to think

Actually during the time he was here he probably was a little delusional. I believe it had to do with a somewhat inflated ego of where his game was at and Ariza being in the middle of the CESSPOOL that is the Knicks. No doubt he was infected with one of the many diseases prevalent at MSG, particularly from the hierarchy of leadership. He had no chance to succeed here, as we are currently witnessing with our current youth talent base.

Now in Orlando he got a chance to develop his game more, but with the acquisition of Lewis he became expendable to a degree. Although you could argue Orlando could have used his defense and athleticism in the open court.

Nevertheless he maintained value in the league and was sought after in a trade.

With him being in L.A. now, he'll only become a better player. Playing in the triangle scheme, his BB IQ should increase and he's going to receive every opportunity to improve his shooting touch with the wide open looks he'll receive. All the intangible facets of his game surfaced today. Ariza was a stat stuffer today and I was impressed with post entry passing and defense.

i think orlando didnt keep him because of their style of play, everyone in their lineup with the exception of howard can shoot the rock, and ariza is more fo a slasher....

i would still love to have him over balkman only because we have seen ariza filling up statlines and his defense has improved, he looked great out there in the starting lineup....that dunk on g.hill was disgusting....another man on arizas list

Ariza is what he is. He's a fantastic dunker with little to no outside game and great defense. He's a good piece to have on a winning team. Surprise - Lakers are a winning team.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

he's in the same mold as lee and balkman - largely an energy player who makes things happen without much being run for him.

Very Funny how

Kurt Thomas would provide more wins than Curry
Ariza would provide more wins than any other SF

Trevor seems to be in a good situation in LA. I hope he does well there.

He's a Cali kid anyway, so he should be happy in LA.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Ariza's always been a tremendous dunker... he posterized plenty of guys while he was playing for us... the problem was & still is that he has a shoddy jumper & doesn't play great help defense... until he addresses those things he's going to be a marginal role player at best... he's got the ability to be very good, but he needs to start knocking down open jumpers on a consistent basis & improve on his foul shooting & defensive awareness a lot.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
