We have to do what Pat Riley did with some of his players. We will continue to pay Curry--but he cannot play again for us until he hits a mandatory body fat %/and or weight level. This is *not* a plan--taking him out after 14 minutes or whatever. A *plan* is to get him into premium shape so that he can perform at optimum levels. If it takes two months--it takes two months--whatever it is and then we must work with him throughout the year to make sure he stays that way. If we can reduce him down to an appropriate level and get him producing like last year--we can make better decisions in terms of what we will do with him. We paid a HUGE price, a price never paid for any athelete in basketball history in terms of two lottery picks etc... It's not acceptable to let him stay this way--it's not acceptable to trade for a player that IT deemed the franchise and in 1 year time--let him go to sht like this. I think rebuilding the Knicks is going to be hard enough. We are NOT better off than 4-5 years ago--we need to salvage and restore Curry--that is priority 1 of what we can do. That is the starting point. He's mentally and physically shot right now and going through a weight loss/cleansing regimen is the only prescient move.

Everything is secondary to getting Isiah and Marbury out of NY. The team wont play for them. There is NO future with either of them.

to hell with curry's fat ****ing ass... If a player with his skill and ability doesn't give a damn about wanting to be the best, or getting gang raped by players like nazr and okafor, or comming into camp looking like a ****ing fat ass refrigirator repair man, the screw his ass. Why do we have to babysit a guy making 9 mil a year and forcing him to stay in shape. To do his damn job, one that his coach and GM gave up a kings ransom for him to come here and do... Eddy doesn't care. his motto is let me score my 19ppg, collect my check and go home... forget defending, dominating and winning.....

what a lard ass!

take zach and his empty stats with him too!

No no NO! *pounds fist on table*

No way, we can't bench him, he will balloon up to 450 pounds and we'll NEVER be able to trade him we will be STUCK with him until 2011!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what we must do with Eddy Curry: Go back to force feeding him. Go back to making him look to be on the verge of being an all-star. Pray he has a 19/7 stretch of 10 games. THEN TRADE HIM for Kwame Brown's expiring.

That would be a wonderful start to a rebuilding process.

Sitting him? He'd be more than happy to sit on the bench, as if he was handed free court-side tickets to NBA games, and not have to lift a finger. While doing that his value would plummet beyond Jerome James territory and we'd strap ourselves with him until 2011.

No, instead? Build him back up and then trade him.

It's the only plan that would work.

I am with that plan, but the lakers have a center, why in the hell would they want this fat ass?

TKF, I have no idea unfortunately but Bynum isn't a lardass I'm certain he could play PF.

Laker fans would be giddy thinking maybe they have Kobe-Shaq again with Curry. It's possible if you don't ask for anything else in return.

There's got to be other 09 expirings out there that we could swap Eddy, Craw, Zach for... those are the big 3 to get rid of so we can start rebuilding in the summer of 2009. Buy out Marbury and Malik (09s). Then what are we stuck with? Virtually nothing. Q, Jerome, Jared = what 19M a year by then? Big deal....

THIS IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE but we must start today.

I'd move him to the bucks for Gadzuric and an unprotected first round pick this year. The Bucks need a post player to pair with thier perimter players and we can use the extra lotto pick this year. At this point, we have to move forward and cant harp on the fatc that we overpaid for Curry. We are not getting two lotto picks back soe we have to take what we can get for him.

No, please No...he's just another another version of JJ...No talent dude running all over court disguised at a basketball player...Please, we have 2000 guys on the bench with the same type of talent...

A month ago I said Curry has "NO TRADE VALUE" and here we have Cosmic hoping we can trade him for a player who's on the IR to get his expiring contract. Of course this doesn't translate to what his value is around the league but if I were a gambling man I'd say it's a lock for the best we could do.

Damn right! Liquidate him! Do the same to Crawful and Zach. Buy out Marbury, Malik. Suddenly things don't look so bad come the Summer of 2009 does it? We won't be a good team but we will have a lot of flexibility to begin a proper rebuilding.

While they have him open, perhaps they can put in a heart.

Great; then he'll probably go back to the diet pills and have heart problems
