THORNY: Disgruntled forward Malik Rose was a no-show at yesterday's practice. A team spokesman said Rose's vehicle was blocked in by the snow. The rest of the team, however, all made it to the practice facility in Greenburgh. Rose is seeking a trade and Thomas is trying to accommodate him.

I guess we can expect another buyout.

why on earth do we trade him? Just offer him a buy out- something we should have done over the summer so we could have kept nichols, or perhaps Dickau.

Why buyout a player when you can take back one with a worse contract and an attitude problem in a trade?

I thought Malik Rose was the consummate professional? If Marbury or anyone on the team outside of David lee did this, he would be roasted a thousand times over.

I guess it's okay for some but not for others. Let the apologizing for Rose's behavior commence!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I'm not defending Malik's action- in fact, I thought it was the height of absurdity when he made his comments about playing vs. being left on the inactive list -

But, Malik does have a reputation as a professional. Ergo, for someone like Malik to be pulling this kind of stunt, things must be really bad.

Still, if he wants out, he can have his agent contact the knicks and offer to make the buyout attractive for the knicks.

I believe Rose is an expiring contract. It wouldn't make sense to buy him out.

Things might be bad, but Rose shouldn't be complaining about time. he isn't good. He's played more here than he played his last couple of years with San Antonio.

He should just leave the snow alone and stay home.

That is completely false. While with the Knicks, Malik has never gotten near the run he got with the Spurs.

Roses' last 2 years in San Antonio he averaged 18.7 and 17.2 minutes a game for a championship contender.

The last 2 years in New York, he has averaged 12.4 and 7.8 minutes a game for a pathetic franchise that is one of the worst in professional sports.

Why let facts get in the way of ripping a guy who is a consummate professional but is completely fed up with this garbage.

Why are some people comparing players who have been and are well known for being consummate professionals their entire careers with players who have been nothing but malcontents their entire career, going so far as to write "All Alone" on his game shoes?

There were 2 Malik Roses in San Antonio, the one who started and played a lot and played well, and the Rose that was the garbage-time man in his last 1.5 years in San Antonio, and that includes when they were featuring him so they could get rid of him. In 03-04 he started getting DNP-CD'ed.

Rose is done. He was done when he got here. He should shut up and be happy he is still on an NBA roster.

Even our leadership guys are chumps.

If anyone, other than maybe Crawford, doesn't hate being here I'd be surprised. And with Marbury coming back we'll probably lose him too.

Anyone who's a fan of disfunction has to love Isiah/Marbury/Dolan.

Buy him out! Do not trade Malik Rose! Why? Isiah Thomas will probably get a worse contract in return. Rose only has 2 years left.

I think Jamal Crawford likes it here b/c he's never really been targetted - outside of that guy Rick from Brooklyn who calls Stephen A's show.

Pretty simple he got minutes early-his first yr here because as usual I SAY UGH had to justify the trade. His minutes are dwindling rapidly, there's no reason he should put up with I SAY UGH. If Marbury can go AWOL and get 78min coming off the bench immediately thereafter Malik shouldn't report to practice due to

snow, traffic, having a hangnail, constipation, lack of sleep, depressed that Jessica Alba's pregnant, having to watch blowouts from the bench, not being able to see Chandler get playing time, soldiers are still being deployed overseas, being treated by a pretend medical staff, becuase the PA system drowns out FIRE ISAY UGH chants, because Al Sharpton's MSG protest flopped, because Anucha settled for 11.5 instead of 11.6 etc etc

Oohah I think Malik missing practice is wrong, but I am willing to bet a lot of players are late for practice, and maybe when they get there dont do much at practice. We have no idea what goes on inside the practice facility we only get what the media gives us. So your saying if David Lee missed practice it would be all right I am confused by that statement.
