I will stop rooting for the Knicks and start cheering for another team.
I will stop rooting for the Knicks and stop watching the NBA altogether.
I will watch the NBA as a fan of the game but not as a fan of any team.
I will give the team a clean slate and hope our draft pick turns us around.
I will wait until Isiah is gone to be a Knicks fan again.
I will (insert your own response)...

Wouldn't this be a total f'n nightmare? Believe it or not, I think it could happen. And when I had that thought, I realized that I had no idea what I would do in response. Hence the poll.

I will wait for Isiah to be gone before I ever watch or care about the team again.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Imagine how ridiculous the draft would be if the Knicks were picking first and Isiah was still GM. They'd have to have the draft somewhere else. It'd be absolute mayhem.

I will continue doing what I've been doing for the last 34 years of waiting for another championship. Enjoy the games they win and voice my angry opinion when they have a loosing streak. Had we kept some of the players we had and built from the draft we would be in better shape. New York is not for Curry but if he played for a team out west I think he'd grow. Marbs I like but he sends out negative vibes. He is not a leader. It's all about him.

The only thing that might save IT is his contract extension. In fact, that is probably the only reason he is still around now. This scenario is possible but I don't think even IT could survive a last place finish after 4 years on the job with no major injuries and a team full of players he brought in.

I think it's a strong possibility, because Dolan really is that stupid.

Honestly, I think that unless the Knicks completely go in the toilet, Isiah will still be here. And even then it could backfire with the Knicks selling a possible high lottery pick as "hope".

But to answer the question, this will be me if that happens:

IF we finish last and Dolan refuses to fire Isiah then its pretty clear that change will not ever happen. I mean, how long has Sather been here, now? Dolan allowed him to suck for years and now that they're a good team again he claims credit for keeping him around and being loyal

He has become emboldened by Sathers 'redemption' and thinks he's backing another redemption candidatee in Isiah.

That Dolan is a hardheaded MF-er. It pains me to say this, but I can really see him keeping Isiah.

I wouldn't get upset. I think Dolan fires Isiah when the knicks are mathematically elimated at the earliest. At the end of the season at the latest. Don't ask why but Dolan seems to REALLY want to keep Isiah and will probably give him every chance possible to turn things around before firing him. If Isiah is still with the team next season then I'll probably stop being emotionally invested in the knicks and start paying attention to other NBA teams until he is gone.

After a handful of more losses, what needs to happen is that we stop coming to boards like these. We don't think about it, we don't talk about it, we don't even remember the product.

The product? What is that?

I'd just be a real pissed off fan with very little faith in Isiah making the right draft choice. We could have had Morris Almond (Not getting any playing time now, but neither is Chandler and Almond WILL be a very good shooter/player), Marcus Williams or Rajon Rondo as our PG of the future and Bynum as our center of the future. That's POSSIBLY 3 starters right there, but Isiah elected to go with the role playings who can barely come off the bench.

Isiah is useless.

I will continue to write to my Senators and Congressman imploring them to action. The Congressional branch may not all powerful but they do have some say in, among other things, foreign policy, war, security in general, and wiretaping. Congress may also have allies in the judicial branch and a tiny bit of suport in the executive branches...Oh, wait, right, nevermind, the Knicks...

Will I give up on the Knicks if Zeke continues to lose and Dolan continues to hire him? Yes. And in general I will support any revolutionary or counter-counter revolutionary shareholder moves to oust Dolan. Down with Dolan! Shareholders Unite! It is the right of the citizen-fan, it is their Duty, to throw off such Management, and to provide new Guards for their future Security...

I mean honestly.. when you think about it, how ****ing stupid is Dolan? He signed Isiah to a 3yr/24 million contract extension... think about that for a second, seriously.

You know being quite honest with you, I'm never gonna stop watching this team under any circumstances, and that's just a problem I have. A mental illness I guess. But being quite honest I haven't followed this team over the last 7 years they way I did as a kid growing up. Sometimes I miss games, sometimes I just catch a quarter. Sometimes I'm watching the game but really doing something else. Most of the time these days, I'm pretty numb to the results. But that's not always how it was. At the age 9 I started watching every game intently...living and dying on every possesion. How many 10-11 year olds did you know read the beat writers and box scores from the NY Times every morning? That's how into it I was.

It really kills me to see what Isiah has done to this team, but its way tto late for me to give up. Just gotta deal with it.

Good post man.. I agree fully with you, I was the same exact way and I believe we're about the same age(I'm going to be 25 in 12days ) so we started watching around the same time. It was just so much fun as a kid to get all revved up about the Knicks playing the Bulls in the playoffs and getting the chance to watch Michael Jordan(who was the favorite player of every kid our age.) Hell this was back when Dave D'Alessandro(Star Ledger) wrote about the Knicks and he would write the best articles about the previous nights games. A few years ago they switched him over to the Nets because the Knicks as we all know, were and still are a mockery.

Sigh.
