With all the declarations of Rodmanesque ability. And all the explanations as to why we chose him over a PG. Why doesn't he play? I'm so confused as to what is going on. Why is it that every player that he is supposedly better than is getting significant minutes on other teams. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????????????

Wasn't he injured? Maybe he never really fully recovered.

He is supposed to be a professional and then watch jared jefferies the worst player in the league take his minutes in additional to q rich, who is shooting 32% from the field on the 28th best team in the league and give a **** about basketball. Don't blame him......

Anyone that every defended isiah, his drafting, his plan, you are all a ****ing joke, just like this team.

Kurt Thomas, loved watching him make the big shot and look over at that stupid **** that moved him to appease Marbury. Nice work Zeke you *******. QRich and Nate have worked out well wouldn't it be nice to have his expiring to package this offseason instead of a bloated contract that isn't insured....

Lowry would have helped turn this team around on the defensive end but Isiah thinks he can draft better. Painfully obvious that Balkman should be playing, but like isiah said there is 61 games left to turn it around.

I'm just really confused about the quality of our drafts. We keep hearing about how good they were but............

Lee-back-up
Frye-Gone
Nate-spot minutes when the coach sees fit
Balkman-very spot minutes when the coach sees fit
Chandler-No run on a last place team
Mardy-No run on a last place team

Have our drafts really been bad or is Isiah failing himself and us by not playing these guys?

Ray Allen has a 2 hour routine that he does before games that he doesn't alter. He's done the same routine since highschool. Reggie Miller I've heard had a similar one. Coincidence that they have 2 of the greatest jumpshots of our generation? The guy that plays aroudn with the ball boys normally is the guy that goes his entire career without a jumper.

Sounds like a bad idea. I don't want our guys all tired out before the game even starts.

You're just making excuses for him because he's white.

Good post bballjones. Clearly, Ray and Reggie have hurt their careers by doing this and could probably take a page out of the Renaldo book. Maybe also hang around Eddie and Jerome.

Exactly. Imagine how great these guys would be if they didn't exhaust themselves out before the game?

i have sat at a shootaround about 2 hours before game time a few times and i've seen him out there once. he was working with aguirre on a pump fake and drive, along with jeffries.

but that's all i know. he could be busting his tail behind the scenes but who knows. his jumper looks as bad as ever so has he been working on it?

Jones, you missed something else too. The players shouldn't work out during the Summer either, b/c they could make themselves too tired for the start of the season. I mean, just look at Jerome, he's never tired. He always smiles. He's had a great career.

Ray Allen and Reggie. They never smile, particularly on the court, b/c they are too tired to do it. That hurts their bball skills. Therefore, Reggie's plaque will probably only be placed next to George Gervin and not Wilt Chamberlain. That's pretty pathetic. Also, Ray will probably only win a couple championships with Garnett and Pierce and not 5.

The Knicks however, wow, they'll go down in infamy.

Martin, just think. The best player of all those guys is David Lee, and he's barely getting 25 minutes a night on a completely horrible team. Frye is not doing caca in Portland, and these guys Isiah didn't draft are on their way to superstardom, or at least stardom. It's scary how he's got this rep of being a GREAT drafter (Jeff Van Gundy even said it) but reality shows he's quite overrated.

I think David Lee would be a starter on pretty much every team in the league- except here cause we're "special."

And btw, everyone who criticizes the drafts completely misses the pointthat most of our picks were taken in the bottom half of the first round and the players we've gotten with those picks exceed the expectations usually afforded to those players. I'd like to see a list of GMs that have gotten more quality after pick 19 or whatever within the past 3 years.

That they haven't developed they way they should have is on Isiah the coach not Isiah the drafter. Isiah the coach has put them all in a poor situation and has not afforded them the playing time one would expect.
