From the Knicks website (on-demand)

Marbury was not at practice today. Isiah said they will give him as much time as he needs (said numerous times). They are preparing as if he will not play tomorrow and it will be a game-time decision if he does. Isiah said emotionally he was not ready to play. He said going back to MSG last night was very difficult for Marbury.

Isiah said IF Stephon plays, same SL. If not, Fred will start.

He also said the team is out of rhythm. They "lost their way." He still believes the playoffs are the team's goal. He gave that schtick on the Eastern Conference as well.

The reporters also asked Isiah about him going over to the guys with towels on their heads on the bench last night (I didn't see that). Isiah looks awful and it sounds like he is losing his voice. Hopefully from yelling at this POS team.

There is also an interview with Zach, Jamal and Malik. Malik apparently said he told Isiah to put him on IR if he wasn't going to play. He said that he could get in to a better routine that way. They asked him when the trade deadline comes if he wants out...Malik said he wants to play for this team or any team that will give him playing time.

"i love these guys. they are good people and good players"

"i am satisfied with our team."

"at the start of the season, we thought we would be a team to make the playoffs. and we still think we are team that can contend and make the playoffs."

"we kinda lost our rhythm a little bit."

"you can't overreact. this is a league that has good nights and bad nights. we had a good game 2 games ago. we're ok."

"the stagnation (of the offense) really comes from losing our rhythm. we try to play offense where 5 people touch it and move the basketball around. we have some cutting and we kind of lost that timing and rhythm. phil jackson would refer to it as flow. we lost our flow."

"when you look at the east in general, there's alot of teams similar to us. we are not beyond regrouping. there's alot of work to do and we are capable of doing the work."

on defense:

"you got to put the ball in the hole. and this league has changed. i see the scores in the league. this isn't the 80's and 90's where teams are holding teams to 85 points. right now there's a premium on scoring so you have to put the ball in the hole if you want a chance to win."

isiah is one SMOOTH operator. i guess if you're a total doofus like dolan, you would develop a man crush for this guy also.

"i love these guys. they are good people and good players"

So he loves guys... Really?
"i am satisfied with our team."
Yee... This is more than enough guys to be satisfied...
"at the start of the season, we thought we would be a team to make the playoffs. and we still think we are team that can contend and make the playoffs."

In 2012...

"we kinda lost our rhythm a little bit."

What was it? Like "No, No, No, Brick!!!" or "Go, Go, Go, Boom!!!"

"you can't overreact. this is a league that has good nights and bad nights. we had a good game 2 games ago. we're ok."

Is he talking about Boston... Formidable..

"the stagnation (of the offense) really comes from losing our rhythm. we try to play offense where 5 people touch it and move the basketball around. we have some cutting and we kind of lost that timing and rhythm. phil jackson would refer to it as flow. we lost our flow."

phil jackson would refer to this like "Crap"
"when you look at the east in general, there's alot of teams similar to us. we are not beyond regrouping. there's alot of work to do and we are capable of doing the work."

So these are Heat, Sonics, Portland, Griz, and Mini.

What if ball is not fit in the hole?

You have to be believable in order to be smooth. Who else besides that total doofus believes anything that comes out of Isiah's mouth?

Isiah is nothing but a liar with a stupid grin on his face.

You know what's funny. People used to bitch that Layden gave so little actual content during interviews, just stepping around the questions. I think Isiah says even less.

The league premium on scoring comment is like WTF... that's just denial. Our offense could be better, no doubt. But our defense is awful. You can't win if you give up more points than your opponent. Plain and simple.

Even as great as Phoenix is they won't win it all until they play defense and the same with Dallas. That's who we were modeling our offense after last yr until he found out we were too dumb and didn't have the personnel to execute such a system. So not only are we not a good defensive team we're not even the Suns who don't have a shot at a championship until they play D.

I really hope the Mavs kick our ass on Monday for good measure. Actually, it's time to lose another 8 in a row so Isiah can be put into perspective and he can stop talking about the other teams and how we're "in it."
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

what's the difference at this point? no matter how much this team gets humiliated & ridiculed on the court & off, Dolan isn't doing anything about it & Isiah continues to spew the same old "i'm happy with the team we have" crap we've heard for the past 4 years.

At least we will get a higher pick.

Plus, not even Dolan could deny the reality that the Knicks aren't in it if we're like 7-20 or something. The upcoming schedule favors the Knicks besides the Dallas game. They have Seattle, Chicago, and Indiana in the next 3 after Monday. Here's to hoping they go at least 1-2(or 0-3)!
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Dolan fired Layden in Dec, when we were 10-18, so he'll probably give Isiah a similar number of games to "right the ship."

For an owner who wants to give Isiah every benefit of the doubt, this is a good time for Isiah to get his guys playing. This is probably the easiest month of our schedule. It's ample time to work IN the new guy and to get them over their traumas (in a basketball sense). If it ain't happening by X-mas/New Years it ain't gonna happen, and even Dolan wont tolerate broadcast after broadcast of disgusted commentary and "fire Isiah" chants.

Even last year, the brawl that turned the tide came in December. This is Isiah's lucky month - the month he was hired. If he doesn't have a good showing I think January will bring more than just a change of calendars.
