here is hoping.

the celtics are the juxtaposition of the knicks- they stank, and rebuilt the right way- patiently, Ainge made crazy moves, but added lots of young talent and then he assembled this current squad.

Dolan, Isiah and the knicks have tried the instant gratification rebuild- and its failed- the celtics have accomplished exactly what the knicks have tried to do-

Perhaps this will bring home to dolan his own failure in faith in isiah, in faith that somehow you can turn a roster over 4 times, max out salaries, take on troubled players from loosing teams.

As in the christmas classic with the island of misfit toys, we're a team of misfit players.

For dolan to fire isiah is to admit he was wrong- and if we've seen anything of his character, that is something he is unlikely to do.

despite what isiah said the other day that it was his job to get the players to play better- despite what the tnt crew said about players not trying- this disgusting failure, this vomit of a basketball team is 100% the responsibility of Dolan.

At a minimum, tonights loss is undeniable proof that dolan's instant rebuild on the fly, NYC can't wait for a 'traditional rebuild' experiment has failed. Utter, complete, total failure. And the policy must be changed, and the best step forward is to be merciful to isiah, let him go & pay him his money. Admit giving him an extension was a terrible mistake.

Dolan, apologize to the fans. This is worse than anything Steinbrenner did during the 80's

I still say Dolan will stick with Zeke until the appeal, unless things get even uglier. We go into the Meadowlands next week, so it'll probably get uglier.

No ammount of embarassment seems to faze Dolan. We need intervention from Charles Dolan to save the team.

Dolan doesn't care. He'll be happy when tomorrow's game is a near sellout.

We didn't think it possible, but the humiliation incurred on the court has caught up with that incurred with their sordid off-court affairs.

What's worse, laughing stock performances in front of Stern and officials of the UN or a National television audience?

Season after season we match or exceed historic lows in points scored, points surrendered, losing streaks, worst starts, etc.

This franchise has never been a bigger joke in it's history. We've reached an all-time low under Isiah, and it could get worse before it gets better.

No it wasn't the low point. Nate saved the day...

I agree. unfortunately Dolan's way of thinking seems to be that Thomas should get as much time possible to turn the knicks around, and that its too early to fire Thomas regardless of how the knicks play right now. If I had to guess when it becomes obvious that the knicks have no chance of making the playoffs later on in the season Dolan will fire Isiah then.

that would have just been the all-time low of the day. Our 2-9 start of this season tied an all-time low. Our 23 win season tied an all-time low. Our coach being allowed to lead afternoon practice only to be led out by security at gametime was a first. Our points allowed against Dallas a couple years ago was an all-time high. We've had losing streaks under Wilkens and Brown (Two HOF coaches) that tied or surpassed all-time lows. Out courtroom drama was an NBA first (I believe) or certainly a franchise first. Our PG blackmailing our coach was a first. I suspect our coach taking a vote on whether that PG should play and then overruling a unanimous vote was a first.

I know you're just messing around, but seriously, over Isiah's term this franchise has achieved unheard of feats of ineptitude, on court and off.

And to think Reggie had to take heat for saying we're considered the joke of the league...

Yep, that's the way we do it. Make sure we don't make the playoffs or draw high in the draft.

What are you talking about? Isiah's 10 year plan is right on schedule and if Isiah could do anything over again, he wouldn't. That's all you need to know. Now just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I hope the MSG crowd is all fired up tomorrow night and starts some really loud "Dolan Sucks!" chants.

Look, its simple:

Isiah is leading the team nowhere and fast.

The team quits one every 3 games, so thats trouble if you want to win now.

But Jimmy Dolan doesn't care about winning, only about selling tickets.

Knicks fans are so good fans, never haters, that they will never stop going to the games.

Results:

Isiah stays the whole season.

The Knicks win two of every ten games they play.

Dolan stays happy because he gets money.

Knicks fans either die of hatred or get the hippie love and support the team to the end.

Ahhh, things are so simple in Knick Land...

It can't be worse than the close of a "JD and the Straight Shot" routine.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that. this team is one of the few in the NBA that tanks while trying to win. Even if Dolan waits until March to fire Isiah the record should be bad enough that The team will have one of the worse records in the league when the season is over assuming the team plays worse under herb williams than under Isiah. and even if they don't they still will probably be bad enough to get a good pick.
